I'm in no rush. As has been stated 100 times. no reason to be on 6.2 if you're using cfw. Everything works on 6.1 including smash for those who care about that game. I'm just hoping next update is not just 6.2 compatibility. I'd like to see some new things like a gui change for game browsing and maybe power management for HDDs. Either way it will be worth the wait. Haterz gonna hate now and after the update anyway.
i will take a good guess that next update won't just be 6.2 support because there are a few things that i have also suggested to them regarding the cheat code feature.

rather than spit individual updates out, it would make sense to have a todo list and while working on them 6.2 came out so obviously they add it to the list and its not just about testing if 6.2 works, they also have to test the other updates they worked on.

this is why hackers half the time dont bother releasing their work because people are ungreatful.
as soon as a free option comes out people show no respect.

TX are not in it for respect or greatfulness. They are in it for the money, and money only. If they wanted respect, they would give back to the community they take from.

It's not even unheard of for other groups/companies. EZ-Flash released the source code for their EZ-Flash GBA cartridge firmware, even for their current model (Omega), yet they didn't even owe us, it's all their code.

a grid for browsing games instead of a horizontal scrolling ui would be an improvement
talking about cats and dogs pics is just you failing at trying to be funny
problem with this is that its still limited to the way the switch actually loads its game list.

like the homescreen it shows your games in a line.

i have no problem with how games are loaded and its nothing that is a must have feature, id rather they work on actual updates that bring and improve stability/features than how shit is displayed on my screen.

we all know they are working on 6.2 support

they might as well add grid browsing while theyre at it. there is no rush to update to 6.2 right now.
for people with hundreds of games this is a problem
do you want to scroll through 200 games to be able to get to what ever game you want?

obviously theyre in it for the money, you missed the point completely.

theyre still a hacking group that first hacked the switch, and its work is not stolen.

if they dont want to release their code they dont have to, reason why they wont is because once released then anyone will do what they like then get idiots like you see on here bitching about them because some fool added something that killed their console, it will never be their fault but theyll be emailing sx blaming them.

also with ez-flash its safe for them because its code is of no use without their cart, whereas with the switch you can use any device to boot the exploit so you could get sx features for fuck all.

apart from theres never been proof that tx have stole anything.

this is why hackers half the time dont bother releasing their work because people are ungreatful.

you do know the team behind sx are those that brought you everything on the 360.

as soon as a free option comes out people show no respect.

i do agree tho they need to be faster when it comes to updates, its not good for sales if a free cfw can get support out faster than a product you have to pay for.

i also said from day one they should never have advertised as works on all consoles and future proof, there is no such thing as future proof.

No proof other than literally finding GPL licensed FOSS code inside a closed source app without even credit on numerous occasions, including brickware "drm" and later backtracking under the guise of "testing your hacking ability lulz" and charging people for... what, xci loading? simulated emunand (not true emunand)... delayed updates compared to FOSS CFW? Potentially including future brickware in later releases when they decide they're bored and nobody knows because it's closed source?

b64 because can't post link but providing the proof that retroboy is asking for.

Life lesson, if you’re good at something never do it for free. And I know many of you are going to disagree and flame me for it Bc you don’t agree. LWhy do they have to give back and release their source code? They don’t. They provided a product that could do stuff others couldn’t. Most people here are entitled that we need source code we need source code.

Why do they have to do that? They don’t. As for respect do you think that matters the respect of a bunch of kids or gbatemp? When they made a solid profit?

obviously theyre in it for the money, you missed the point completely.
Then why did you bring up respect if that's totally irrelevant to the discussion?

theyre still a hacking group that first hacked the switch, and its work is not stolen.
There's evidence of them using other peoples code, but tbh that doesn't matter and I am not going to regurgitate that. I was arguing your point about people not getting respect for the work they do. They don't because they got the money.

if they dont want to release their code they dont have to, reason why they wont is because once released then anyone will do what they like then get idiots like you see on here bitching about them because some fool added something that killed their console, it will never be their fault but theyll be emailing sx blaming them.
The GPL discussion has been had over and over again with and that's where the whole "have to/don't have to" discussion hinges on so I simply wont go further into this or argue about it because that's simply off-topic and there's a thread for that. Most importantly, though, you obviously are not able to have a discussion without calling people names.
I am also not sure what your point about "killing consoles" is, wether you're referring to brick codes or about Updates from Nintendo. If it's the first: That's totally irrelevant to any of our discussion, if it's the latter SX promoted their product (at the time) with the claim that it works on any firmware version. So any customer updating to 6.2.0 because of that claim obviously might feel cheated/fooled/scammed.

also with ez-flash its safe for them because its code is of no use without their cart, whereas with the switch you can use any device to boot the exploit so you could get sx features for fuck all.
It's of no use without their cart, which is assembled from off-the-shelf parts. Competitors could make clones of the hardware and use their firmware for free and even rebrand it. But, to use your own words, "you missed the point completely". Because if you did, you could have seen that the reason EZF took this step was because the GBA market simply isn't profitable. Here's the hint: The point was about EZ-Flash embracing their customers and developers among their customers - to see what they come up with.

See the GPL topic for the answer to your question.

They definitely are having trouble with it . Kinda sad too since they stated sxos will work on any firmware and is future proof...

What are you talking about? I've never had a crash with SX OS. I've never been banned, either. More stable, my ass.

Ditto, I really haven't crashed in Atmosphere since it officially released as 0.7.0, especially when all I do is play game backups with signature patching. the real issue was Homebrew which has gotten more stable, but still occasionally crash's in ALL CFW's, Atmosphere 0.8+ being an example of crashing much less then any other CFW

The reason this is the case is a lot of the code on CFWs like SX OS/ReiNX involved in running Homebrew through the CFW is adopted from earlier builds of Atmoshere, and I mean I don't blame them in having the idea after-all Atmosphere is open sourced that only really asks for credit if you use it, so anyone can dig in their code, and with enough knowledge create their own "CFW", I mean it's a great foundation, so it goes without saying in theory with every update of Atmosphere that base is more stable, and thusly in turn more stable then any CFW built on top of any outdated Atmosphere code base.

getting flashbacks about gateway3ds and how they took a long time to get compatibility with firmware, and when they finally did it wasn't worth it
