people don't seem to have patience these days.
This has been one of their longest gaps in between updates. But I think it mostly boils down to that they can't get 6.2.0 support to work properly. Either that or they're cooking something new.

The thread is useless. However you can kill them by using this link: https://ap.nintendo.com/report/

(thank me later) ;)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also I find it oddly suspicious that they haven't released anything despite Atmosphere getting 6.2.0 support. Did they forget how to copy and paste or did ScriesM actually hide the code?
Nintendo has mentioned Team xecuter in their security reports ages ago. Are you really that daft to think that all that was needed was for somebody to report TX using the link you provided?

Yeah, seems to be an unfortunate product of productivity, after-all the Switch scene is running blazing fast in most cases, so whenever something in the scene takes more then a week, those lax minded will often grow restless. shame, but its to be expected.

They'er just a little behind, probably either their xci launcher or usb loader is having issues, and they dont wanna release a gimped version

My guess as well. I doubt they would release an update that does the basic stuff just to shut people up and leave out features of the past. They're obviously working towards full 6.2 compatibility or atleast incorporate a majority of their backlog of features/options/functions. Releasing a rushed update lacking older features isn't very professional, considering their solution costs actual money.

Or.

They have completely stalled and are still scratching their heads. Doubt it though. Patience is a virtue.

Well, you could always download Atmosphere 0.8.2 for the time being, it runs on 6.2, is free, and way more stable.. it should hold you until SX OS is updated to use the new code in Atmosphere 0.8.2 for use in FW 6.2
What are you talking about? I've never had a crash with SX OS. I've never been banned, either. More stable, my ass.

The thread and OP seems like a reasonable question from a worried user that is not gifted with patience.
All the trolling and posing that follows afterwards is really sad and useless, but expected.

I read somewhere that they were actually using something TSEC related to secure SX OS (which is why it hasn't been cracked after all this time).

And this update breaks the method they were using (or something like that). So I guess they have to cook up something new.

They are waiting on Hekate to update their bootloader for them. Patience.

Bruh you are like super late. TSEC was "cracked" over a week ago and Atmosphere has been publicly usable on 6.2.0 for nearly a week now

I know that, that was exactly my point.
Apparently, SX can't just directly use the new method used by Atmosphere because they were supposedly using TSEC for something else (securing SX OS)... the way I understood it.

Basically, as I understand it, they cracked TSEC (or some part of it) long ago, before everyone else, and was using that to protect SX OS. Which is why SX OS hasn't been cracked after all this time.

(I feel that you misunderstood my earlier post when I said "it wasn't cracked after all this time", I was talking about SX OS, not TSEC)

So they have to figure out something else than TSEC to use to make SX OS "uncrackable".

Also afaik, TSEC wasn't really cracked, they just used a workaround to grab the keys, and if that's patched in 6.3, they still have no idea how to beat TSEC.
