Nope, you just follow that guide. The booting of the cfw is for kezpleznx which can be found elsewhere if needed. The biskeys, tsec and nand can all be dumped from rcm without booting into CFW

So that step where I have to click "install driver" after plugging the Switch into my PC.... is that installing a driver on my PC... or on the Switch? And if it's on the Switch, is it just loading the driver temporarily into RAM or permanently installing it on some internal storage on the Switch?

Like I said, my main goal is to just dump a backup of everything I can from my Switch without modifying it so I don't get banned. Is there still a risk of getting banned if I just use this to dump a backup/keys and don't do anything else?

I know there is no guaranteed way to know, which is why I am asking if this method leaves any trace whatsoever, would it even be possible to detect this at all if all you did was a dump?

Possibly, we don't know, nintendo might have an rcm count or something? To the best of what I know they haven't banned anyone from just entering RCM, though you might want to check out this thread by drax

After the recent problems following 6.2 updates i need a suggestion:
At the moment i am on sx os 2.0.1, no emunand, 6.1 firmware. Do you suggest to use latest sxos and create emunand in sdcard, just in case i need to update my emunand to 6.2 in future?

The developers of Atmosphere are against piracy so unless another developer adds support, it will remain a ReiNX exclusive.

Is there anyway to update Switch OFW to 6.0 (not 6.2) offline? If I try to update it via normal Nintendo update, it will upgrade to 6.2 not 6.0.
I'm running SX OS 2.0.

I have a XAW10022 console on 6.1.0 and want to jump on the Switch hacking bandwagon! I have never used a microSD card in it!

is there a way for me to do it without having to upgrade to 6.2.0?
I heard and read that if I try to use a microSD in exFAT now I'll have to install something and that will force me to upgrade to the newer FW.

I'm a bit lost so I would appreciate some light from the more experienced members!

BTW, I have a Xecuter SX Gear coming (in the next 5 days or so) and I already have an SX OS license at hand

Hi all. I'm looking to solder points 1 and 10 on my joycon but I read that this has been patched. Is there still a method that can be used to hardmod the Joycon to boot into RCM mode? I'm on version 6.0 and planning to set up Emunand on SD with SX OS.

If you want to. 6.2 may take a while to crack based on early signs.

No, Tinfoil does not bypass all firmware requirements and its nearly impossible to use a hacked Switch without being banned.

Its some type of .NCA patch according to one of the developers in the ReiNX bootloader (its not a patch in the sysmodules or patches folder).

Also converting a .XCI file to .NSP is different than installing a .XCI file so if you convert it beforehand, it should work with Atmosphere.

Format the SD card to FAT32 and then use the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX to have exFAT on any firmware you feed it. If the SD card is bigger than 32 GB, you will have to use a third-party software such as GUIFormat.

No you can still solder pins 1 & 10 together. The only 2 pins that aren't recommended to solder are 9 & 10 as doing so causes the right Joy-Con to semi-brick on higher firmwares.

No, Checkpoint does not support external HDD.

I think it only works when docked when pins 9 & 10 are soldered together to enter RCM. You can also do pins 7 & 10 since those are closer than 1 & 10 but don't have the risk of bricking like 9 & 10.

hi everyone
i got a switch today on 4.1.0 and im trying to boot in to atmos or renix ,i have another switch on 6.1 and im able to use my rcm loader to boot in to cfw
but for 4.1.0 i only get a black screen is 5.1 and upwards only able to boot using rcmloader
or as im now using fat32 do need to setup the card different untill i update the firmware for the card

I'd been thinking about getting an sx pro during the summer but put it off, but now I'm thinking about it again since Pokemon wants me to upgrade my firmware (I'm currently on 3.0.1 or whatever it is right after 3.0). I'm only really interested in playing emulators and games that I bought (either game carts or stuff off the store), I don't care about "backups" and the like. If I get an SX Pro will I be able to upgrade to a firmware that'll let me play my game carts and buy stuff off the store (since I know things like Bayonetta and LA Noire will require an extra download)?
