Hey ! I heard that Airplane mode when Switch is on the dock is unavailable !! How to prevent the console to connect to Nintendo's Server and avoiding a ban ?
Did you ever find a solution?Draxzelex - Unfortunately that site you suggested is ever super slow, or I'm missing something...else. Meanwhile, I've got hold of hekate ctcaer v4.2, which is now telling me I have "no payloads or libraries found" - so I guess I need one or some of those now? I've done some googling, but not sure what's what as yet...
Thanks again

Are biskeys required to restore a whole nand backup if I ever want to revert back to vanilla land? I wasn't able to extract them through keyzplz-nx. The nro wouldn't load for me before I took the plunge by installing some games. files.. ;-;
Yay! I don't have to worry anymore.keyzplz-nx isn't what gives you the biskeys. It gives you a "keys.txt" file which contains all the keys for the Switch, but the biskeys are different. I don't remember if you actually get these using keyzplz-nx or not, but you can actually get the biskeys by dumping them straight from within Hekate (Look under either "Tools" or "Console Info", I think it's the latter).
Now, with that said, NO, the biskeys are not required for restore a Nand dump. The Boot0/1 files and the rawnand.bin is considered a full Nand backup.
Biskeys are required for tampering with a Nand backup using hactool (for example, if you want to upgrade your FW using ChoiDujour, or extract the theme files from your Nand)
This guide has instructions on how to dump the NAND, add exFAT support via the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX (which is the same tool used in the guide you linked), and how to update your firmware without burning fuses (which is also by using ChoiDujourNX). The guide you linked to updating without burning fuses is outdated and even recommends to use ChoiDujourNX instead. Also, all firmwares are supported as long as the console is not patched, which given that you bought the console in April is most likely not patched. Lastly, if you are going to be using ChoiDujourNX (which you should since it accomplishes two of things you want to do), it will enable AutoRCM by default to prevent fuses from being burnt so you do not need to enable it after using ChoiDujourNX.
For people who do not wish to install a trinket/buy a dongle/use a jig & USB cable to load CFW homebrew, Deja Vu is more convenient than the current exploit, Fusee Gelee. Deja Vu will most likely involve loading a webpage to boot CFW/homebrew and is confirmed to work up to firmware 4.1 (which is the same firmware Gag Order works up to).
6.1 and 6.0 share the same number of fuses which is 7 fuses.I updated to 6.1.0 over Nintendo's official firmware update, which means my fuses were burnt.
Will I be able to downgrade to 6.0 or is this also prevented by the fuses?
You can although 3.0.2 is an odd firmware to update to.Thanks for your reply. So it is fine to update to 3.0.2 via guide sdsetup. I could downgrade to 1.0 later if required, right?
90DNS prevents you from playing any games online because it blocks all Nintendo-related services. Its basically a self-imposed ban because the effects mimic a real ban but the difference is you can undo 90DNS to return to normal play. However, this means it delays a ban rather than prevents it.Hi ! I heard about a 90DNS solutions to connect and play online on Switch without getting a ban... Is this reliable ? Did someone around try it already ?
The latter; there are plenty of warez sites that host various .NSP files where you can procure your game from.Thank you for the thorough reply.
When you say that I could download it in .NSP format, does that mean that I could somehow get a .NSP file from having bought it on the eshop? Or do you simply mean that there are places potentially where such an .NSP could exist, and that I could install that?
And as I understand this, if I upgrade with ChoiDujourNX to 6.1, then I can go on the eshop, download the game (plus get updates for other games for example), and then still downgrade back to 5.X whenever is needed? Thanks for your help.

A .XCI file without a certificate cannot be used to play online because it is the cert that enables a .XCI file to go online. The MD5 is a check to make sure you have a good file but its useless on its own; it needs to be checked with an MD5 database. I don't know of any MD5 databases.Hi guys. What is a XCI without CERT and what can I do with the MD5?
CTCaer's mod of HekateI was wondering...what is the most uptodate, easiest, safest way to backup the NAND?
Well Hekate has been update to V4.2 but Hekate is still the best tool to backup/restore the NAND.Best way to make a backup? I did my 4.1 backup with hetake. Is it still the best way to do it?
AutoRCM reduces the charge rate of the Switch in RCM, period. Meaning you should never charge the Switch in RCM or while its off because it will charge very slowly. Either do not use AutoRCM or charge it in Sleep Mode.Hey guys I read somewhere that leaving the Switch on RCM mode drains the battery. Does this mean when it's on RCM solely or when it's also on CFW?
Also, I activated AutoRCM on ReiNX and then powered it off. Then I plugged the charger in but it didn't show the little battery icon that says it's charging. Should I keep AutoRCM on and only charge the Switch on Sleep mode?
You would have to block Internet access on your router I suppose. But I'm not sure of how to go about that.Is there a way to FTP to the Switch from a PC without enabling internet access on the Switch? I guess it would basically be wireless LAN without anything beyond that.
Basically, bans now prevent eShop access, online play, and game updates. If you don't want to get banned, don't hack the console. Is there a standard for full CDN bans? Like using freeshop or playing online on NSP games? I really want to have the game updates(i bought smash) and system too, but now that full cdn is out, i'm kinda scared of losing that
The only way DevMenu would work on lower firmwares is if the one for lower firmwares gets dumped. Yes, there are different DevMenus for different firmwares. Is there anything that only could be done with dev menu so it would make sense to downgrade to be able to use it? Also which version would i need to downgrade to? Because i read that the gamecardslot was updated with 4.0 so if you downgrade to a firmware <4.0 the slot won’t work anymore.
Also after downgrading it wouldn‘t be possible to boot ofw because of the fuse count right? Only fw that would be possible is 6.0.1 then if you are on 6.1.0 because they have the same fuse count right?
I think you misunderstood my post.Basically, bans now prevent eShop access, online play, and game updates. If you don't want to get banned, don't hack the console.

Oops, my bad. Technically, we can do everything DevMenu does, but it involves manually manipulating the NAND which isn't easy; DevMenu automates most of these functions.I think you misunderstood my post.
I only wanted to ask if there is anything that can only be done via dev menu and not with the other tools/homebrews we have. With that info i can think about if a downgrade would make sense for me or not.
Secound question was : What is the latest version we have dev menu for? Couldn’t find this information on google so i thought i ask here
