So today I purchased a brand new switch from bestbuy (HAC001) and after a few hours of testing, I couldn't launch a custom firmware.

First, side by side with my 2-month old switch the jig would work without a hitch in the old model but refused to work on the new one. After about an hour of trial and error (paperclip, tin foil, etc) finally I got the switch into what seemed to be RCM with the jig (after bending the pins a bit).

Now, getting the computer to recognize it has been hit or miss. When I load the payload into tegrarcm nothing happens or I get a "usb device ..." message in the command window.

I've reinstalled all relevant drivers, formatted the sd card and started over, used a different card, used hekate and older versions of SXOS, tried via a different PC, tried via an android phone and with a different cable. None of which have worked.

Given this, is it safe to assume this model is currently unhackable or are the revised models not yet for sale?

Mariko units are probably on hold until some exploit comes up so Nintendo can patch it on their new consoles. Until then, i doubt they will release the completely patched units (and therefore no exploits will release too)
