Wow. Just wow. After this thread I wouldn't be surprised if m4xw left the scene because of the accusations people are throwing and the total disrespect, and I couldn't blame him. He is doing work for you for free and rather than thank him, many people attack with vitriol and baseless claims. I'd love to see either side release the full logs honestly to clear everything. I'm not taking sides here, but seriously have some tact and stop treating a community member like a suspect. At least unless proof is given.

Ah, so you've seen the logs that the rest of us haven't! You're sure they weren't trying to do exactly that? Is it because m4x said that's what happened? Why would chat logs exist in "the team" group chat 6 weeks after initial contact? From my experience with TX "execs" (both before and after the X360 stuff, which makes RA's post even funnier to me), if an offer comes in, you can stipulate anything reasonable in the counter offer.

TX *clearly* doesn't care about FOSS or licenses, but I can guarantee that they cared about doing everything to make a deal happen with m4x, and get this RetroSX thing made. If m4x actually brought up the topic and insisted on figuring out a way (I'm sure he did), then I promise he was heard and solutions were discussed. I'm guessing talks fell apart over the summer, but they CERTAINLY were not rebuffed from the beginning (or even in the midst of it, it seems)

Like I said, this whole debacle is just "haha, jokes on them, I was only pretending to be morally bankrupt for 3+ months!"

I guess the ability to think critically and put together a paragraph or two makes me:

It is indeed despicable. This is what they routinely do too to others that affect the little shady side businesses that taint this scene. It's unfortunate you have these people involved in this 'scene', since they so very badly taint all the legitimate homebrew work that IS indeed done. Their legitimate work should not be tainted in the process.

Best thing to do is to let this cancerous thread die. It's pretty obvious that as soon as one wants to talk about the 'truth of the matter', people get butthurt because it hits too close to home and the facts are not really flattering for their side. So instead, the only thing left to do is to end this thread. No honest dialogue can be had here.

I cant speak for anyone else but personally I have a large gba collection but dont like using my sp. So I have dumped my actual carts from my ds to run before. I can say for a fact I've only ever played games on retroarch nx that I physically own.

The silence is deafening. You were complicit. RA doesn't have the full story, only you and TX do. You won't speak here on the subject, because any provable assertions from either side would only make you look bad (and yes, probably make TX look worse - but do they care?).

• TX = very shitty, barely try to hide it (like removing the binary signatures from stolen code after they were spotted)
• M4X = kind of shitty (and getting shittier), disingenuous, and REALLY, REALLY trying hard (tried hard?) to spin this into: "it was a joke, TX are the only ones with flexible morals, I'm the patron saint of FOSS and did nothing wrong!"

Once a timeline was established and logs/emails were posted, @m4xw got really fucking quiet, except for expressing surprise that TX would keep logs of their convos (international criminal conspiracy, right?). Why go quiet? Because these logs are dangerous to the public image of @m4xw (and probably the private image, I would posit with 99% certainty that RA does NOT know the full extent of what @m4xw was doing with TX)

I've literally done it once, I made a post without a ping and you replied in 3 minutes that time, too.

Have I struck a nerve with you? A well-written forum poster who is picking apart your attempted narrative? Prove me wrong. You saw green and wanted that sweet, sweet stable income and fat bonus check. It fell apart because reasons (which, in fact, I don't know because nobody is coming forward with the actual reasons).

But you didn't rebuff TX from the beginning, or even after immediately making contact and seeing this $6k figure thrown around. You continued to operate in their private groups/chat rooms for months, and only now is your story that you were "just seeing how low they would stoop." Horseshit. A convenient excuse to give to the RA team and the public (we know you weren't truthful with RA, they don't have the full logs or story either, they just tweeted for the FUCKING DRAMA), but the evidence of continued cooperation suggests otherwise.

When you stay quiet and let other people defend you, despite having an account and participating in this thread up until the logs started being posted ("fuck the community [...] little shitbrats") - then he suddenly got quiet.
