Check the date this thread was made. While you don't know the context behind this, the OP was referring to the release of mGBA v0.6.0. That version received a huge boost in speed performance compared to the older v0.5.2.title is a clickbait, this emulator run extreme bad on old3ds
Did you two ever made peace from the scuffle about the CHMM / Anemone3DS theme shuffle?Nope not clickbait as it is known O3DS is crap for mGBA
that's what I've been hoping to hear. the version I've been using (0.6.2)was a nice improvement for games like doom 2 and duke nukem advance they're still slow(20-25fps) but much more playable from previous versions.btw I'm using a N3ds xl.Check the date this thread was made. Yes, you're correct that mGBA is still slow-ish when compared to real hardware GBA VC as of today, but it's getting really close. The newest 0.7 b1 inches ever so slightly towards consistent ~59 FPS under heavy rendering load.

Go to mgba.io and go to the Downloads page.I've been using a really old version of this to play Pokemon Emerald. My current version runs just fine except for some really crappy audio from time to time, it comes and goes. How do I update to the newest version? Do I just install the new version via FBI, and it automatically updates the existing one instead of installing in a new slot? Also, will it remember my settings and existing save files? (I've been using PC tools to copy my Pokemon from game to game since Pokemon Red, but limiting myself in each game to only using Pokemon that are appropriate in level for where I'm at.)
The title never referred to O3DS. In fact, the framerate still isn't perfect even on the N3DS.title is a clickbait, this emulator run extreme bad on old3ds
0.6.3 isn't latestupdated to 0.6.3 today and tried doom 2 wow what an improvement on 0.6.2 I was getting 23-25fps now on 0.6.3 I'm getting 43-45fps. that just made the game significantly more playable keep up the good work guys
Why don't you upgrade to 0.7 beta 1? 0.6.3 is months old.updated to 0.6.3 today and tried doom 2 wow what an improvement on 0.6.2 I was getting 23-25fps now on 0.6.3 I'm getting 43-45fps. that just made the game significantly more playable keep up the good work guys
didn't know it was "old" and I seen a statement that a new stable release was coming soon it's also a pain to take my sd card out to update things. I only updated because I had the card out to update something else. Why don't you upgrade to 0.7 beta 1? 0.6.3 is months old.
Everything runs poorly on the old3DS. The old3DS is significantly weaker than the new3DS and thus emulation (and a lot of games in general) suffer from this weaker hardware.title is a clickbait, this emulator run extreme bad on old3ds
The ARM dynarec has been delayed several times, don't get too hyped on it, as I'm not sure if endrift will be able to cover that one up for the 0.8.0 releaseHonestly I'm excited for 0.8.0. Finally, dynarec!
Are your *.gba roms packed in *.zip, *.7z, or *.rar archives? Are you using the latest nightly build found here?mGBA cannot find gba roms on 3ds. Should i have to add the to a specific folder to recognise them?
