Not all is well in paradise. Pokemon Red/Blue overworld sprites are messed up and menu open/close produces odd effects. All of it still absent on the nightly. Also on GBA Pokemon FireRed runs noticeably slower than LeafGreen. A problem again absent in the latest nightly.

Same here on my end. Stable 0.6.3 has slight audio crackling in Golden Sun. It's audible when the music hits the high notes. Feels bad. Can only imagine what that's like for the dev.

To all people having issues with the latest nightlies of 0.6.3, please redirect all your issues and problem to the mGBA forum here:
    https://forums.mgba.io/showthread.php?tid=4609

I took the liberty of opening up a thread about the issue, if you guys could jump in and detail the problems/corroborate them, that'd be better.

Care to open the issue too directly at the github? I dunno whether it's better to reply on one of the older closed issues that dealt with the popping noise in v0.6.2.

You mean for the popping issue in Golden Sun?
We first have to be sure that it is not a 3DS-specific problem to begin with.
If you can replicate that issue in any of the other ports, then it should be filled as a Github issue, in the meantime it is better to contribute to that thread to further cement the issues presented right now.

Others reporting popping for GB(C) games. It seemed the issue was platform broad and not 3DS specific. In v0.6.2 stable, I noticed the audio in Pokemon Blue & Red DX hacks; this release also broke a lot of sprites for other games too. Mine as described, at least for G.S., was more crackling.

I would be willing to go on a bug finding binge for mGBA at a later date after a cool down period away from my 3DS. I've done enough debugging for other homebrews this past month lol.

    Oh I see.
Then yeah the regression did have some issues.
I could only suggest to keep track of the thread I posted, and fill in endrift with whatever problem you come across there, instead in a GitHub issue.
endrift usually replies daily in the forum, so it should be fairly quickly to let the dev know about the problem there.
