Nice, that's all i wanted ! !
Thanks a lot for the link Draxzelex !.. And everything else ;)
.. Let's start now .. I'll repost a message here if it works or if i doesn't !

Ok so I am interested in startring out. I have read some but i always get nervous the first time, i try a mod.

So what is the best guide to use right now?
Is atmosphere in its current form the cfw of choice?
Do I need a jig everytime I boot or just whenever I am going to start out?
Do I need a payload loader ie second device everytime or just the first?
If I don't have a payload loader can I still use my switch to play games I currently have.
Is 6.0 really safe, I read alot where people say "if you don't care about downgrading", why should I care?
Is this guide for the general folks to use or is it still for advanced users?

Thanks

Hey guys

I installed ReiNX using the guide.

I seem to have an issue. When I turn off my switch completely and turn it back on I lose the ability to access Hbmenu through the album icon.

I end up needing to reinject ReiNX.bin via TegraRcmGUI in order to be able to access hbmenu through the album icon.

I re-read the guide - it says the "010000000000100D" folder + contents rewrites the album icon on switch menu to redirect to hbmenu.

I have checked multiple times and the files are in the correct location.

Anyone have any ideas?

i'm thinking about selling my wii u & buying new switch console if i do where do i start from ? do i need the R4s Dongle/CFW ? also can i use hard drive like Wii U ? thanks

You have been helping me alot guys and i am now up and running, just have one more thing to do and that is to add exfat support.

I am following this guide: "how-to-get-exfat-working-on-any-custom-firmware.517815" (cant post link as i am new member)
but im stuck on "6. Your current firmware version if you don't want to update ... for obvious reasons I can't post a link but google is your friend"

How do i aquire my current firmware version? Google was not my friend in this case :( I dont expect a link but im googling information on how to download the firmware files and get nothing.

Im on 5.1 right now

Or should i just update the switch to 6.0 the usual way?

Stay on 5.1 as it’s offer more stability with CFW at the moment...no really to hurry for 6.0 as no games require yet...except if you plan to go online...As for the Exfat « patch », better to follow this guide :
https://gbatemp.net/threads/choiduj...ller-homebrew-for-the-nintendo-switch.513416/
Hint for the files needed « cough ».... »cough »

In SX OS 2.0, i cant get the Homebrew menu to see any of my NRO files unless they are just in switch/ (in which case they dont seem to work properly as they dont see file paths correctly)
(I want them in their own dir ie switch/psnes/ etc)

Any tips?

Have you tried clearing the archive flag on the /switch folder?

I have a question before using cfw, can I still see all games I have paid for and use updates and dlc as .nsp?
This is for using my savegames and hopefully don’t have to start over again on all my games.
I gratefully take any ideas from you all!
Thanks!

ok thanks a lot & this universal cfw compatible with XCI & NSP ? or do i also need R4s dongle
There’s no « universal » CFW, the guide is « universal « meaning for all currently available CFWS...

R4S dongle is one of the available methods to launch the exploit needed to launch CFW, you have others dongles, midships, android phones or computer.

Only SXOs (from team xecuter ) is currently able to launch games in Xci format, but I you have to buy it.

All free open source CFW (Atmosphere , ReiNX, RajNX) can load nsp games and Xci can be converted in nsp

Yes, because they are stored into the system (or the SD card) not the games themselves.

Is it possible to assume that the new way of using xci>nsp with no invalid tickets is as ”safe” from banning as sx os xci loading is?
Or have I perhaps missunderstood?
Thanks againn
