Just got home.
The switch was on 93% when i left home this morning. I turned it off. Just got home and without dongle pressed power. Straight on but is flat

#1 You didn't answer my #1 item earlier, despite me saying
do the EXACT steps I stated and answer the TWO questions I asked.

#2 What does "Straight on but is flat" mean? Does it actually power on without the dongle? What is the battery % then?

It would be weird, since following this conversation:
I have never installed autoRCM.
there is an option there that lets you turn AutoRCM on and off
Just did that.
Thanks
...then you should be in AutoRCM, which means it is IMPOSSIBLE to turn on your Switch without a dongle...
Unless you used something like ChoiDujourNX (which can turn AutoRCM on by default).
Did you?

Also, you also ignored this detail I mentioned here:
you seemingly were previously on 6.0 earlier as you posted here:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/hekate-fuse-question-sleep-mode.519286/
If this Switch is the same as the 5.1 you are talking about in this thread, then your sleep mode is most likely broken.
Is it the same Switch?

When debugging problems like this, having AS MUCH INFO as possible is important.
Which is why I need you to follow EACH step, ONE BY ONE.
And to answer ALL questions.

Anyway, since I am having trouble getting all the info I need from you, I'll just give you these steps and hope you can follow them properly:
  1. Inject Hekate 4.2 (link)
  2. Go to Tools... then choose AutoRCM
  3. Check if it says "Disabled!" or "Enabled!", then change it so that it says "Disabled!"
  4. If this didn't fix your problem, update to 6.0 (I am assuming this is the same Switch as the one you mentioned in my link earlier)
  5. Do steps 1-3 again if you used a tool like ChoiDujourNX to update.
  6. Make sure you have bootloader\sys\libsys_lp0.bso in your SD card (included in Hekate 4.2's zip)
This makes sure you have all "broken sleep" problems fixed (from 2 known causes: "burned fuse count mismatch" and "missing sleep module"), and makes sure you have AutoRCM off. These two problems are the biggest culprits for having to hold power for 20 seconds. I was trying to investigate which problem it was EXACTLY, but since I couldn't get all the exact information I need, I'll just drop that guide.

I have injected hekate 4.2. I went to RCM it says disabled. The system is already on official 6.0. I have bootloader files in the sd card.
I press power button once and my switch came on just now. Cant play back ups though.
I charged my switch this morning before work and when i left it was at 93%.
When i got home it was flat no power.
I turned it off before i left.

I just now turned it off.
I go to turn back on but wont go on.
I have to hold power button in for 15 seconds to power on.

Question is i am trying to hard reset the switch but it wont allow me as its asking me to connect to internet to unlink the console.

Oh, I assumed you were on 5.1 as stated in the first post, and was thinking the problem was something solvable (like mismatched fuse count, or missing sleep library, or AutoRCM)

This is a known issue in 6.0:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/turn-off-your-nintendo-switch.519116/

And there are users who find similar problems (some say it's supposedly caused by having "NES Online" and wifi turned on):

I personally found that with 6.0, after turning off my Switch, you can't turn it on immediately, and you have to wait around 5-10 seconds before you can turn it on (and trying too quickly causes it to go into some sort of "limbo", where you have to hold the power button for 12-15 seconds to get out of).

It's a known 6.0 bug, sorry.
I just leave the Switch in sleep mode all the time, in its dock (which is permanently plugged in), like most people do, and never have problems.

Bundat thanks so much for your very informative replies i really appreciate it

I have factory reset my switch and all is good for now.
Question is seeing my switch is no longer linked and i am banned is there anyway i will be able to play NES online the hacked version?
