how do I go about applying the custom widescreen patch for paper mario ttyd?
I know for some games all you had to do was simply turn widescreen on in Nintendont settings as game specific patches are hard coded in Nintendont if they existed and didn't cause issues. Not sure for Thousand Year Door though.

No, I don't really know if I have that :/ and yes to the other stuff, I like original aspect ratio so... don't know what it is.. it doesn't happen all the time tho.

Except for the crime alerts text, that text its always duplicated.

if its a bad iso then it could be the issue.

run the md5 checker on the iso then take a picture of your nintendont settings screen.

I have cheats on for the WW widescreen and no blurry in background!
cheats are probably causing the problems, since nintendont is not an emulator and cheats might be unstable, try turning cheats off and try again, i remenber having widescreen specific cheat and then resident evilt 4 would sometimes freeze on loading with it on and so on.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

also dont forget true crime games are really buggy as hell on all consoles, specialy new york, even on original gc or ps2 they crashed like crazy

If you can help it i don't recommend playing the gamecube version of true crimes new york city. the game runs terrible. play it on ps2 or pc if you can.

doesnt matter, like i said if you read online, true crime new york freezes alot in xbox and GC, on ps3 it freezes abit less but still does, its one of the buggiest games to be released really on all consoles.

Funny thing is, I know that, I had this game on GC and it used to crash here and there, sometimes I had to reboot the console and restart the game... but the duplicated text on the Crime Alerts was not an issue of the game, this is definitively Nintendont xD

i heard the xbox version is even worse than gc one for the crashes not sure if true, but yeah ps2 is the most "stable" one of the bunch, how did this game got released like this i will never know.

Yeah, on the original xbox version of the game there is a mission where you have to throw a character named Tommy off of cargo and the game glitches out which makes it near if not impossible to throw him off which means you can't beat the game. Personally always liked streets of LA more anyways and luckily that game runs fine on every system as far as i'm aware.

Loved Streeds of LA, I think with NYC the game was too ambitious and didn't pay off... oh well, I guess I will have to play that one legit xDDDDD (have the game it just got very scratched and can't be read by my Wii.)

If you have any retro videogame stores near your area they usually have a machine that can refurbish game disc. Never tried it with a gamecube game but it sounds like your copy of the game is scratched up pretty bad so you don't have anything to lose trying it.
