What happened exactly? And what was the process getting it to replaced?I got mine replaced by MCD. Fairly quick process, but unfortunately I had to pay $10 to ship it to them even though it wasn't my fault the device was DOA. The replacement did work perfectly though--how long it will remain working is a mystery to discover later on lol.
It never worked and I'm not sure why. The dongle lit up green as it should when I plugged it in to charge, but when I tried to use it to boot the Switch--the Switch would not boot when holding the power and volume + buttons. Maybe the dongle wasn't holding a charge, but that's just my guess. I contacted MCD via email. They wasted a few days of my life going back and forth with troubleshooting steps that I already went through prior to contacting them, and then they gave me instructions to return it. I just wished they covered return shipping because it was an extra $10 I had to pay just to get a working device. But as soon as they got the return shipment, they sent me a new one the next day with email confirmation. What happened exactly? And what was the process getting it to replaced?
It's certainly nowhere near 20, it will be under 5%.Could anyone make an estimate of the percentage of defective dongles? Just curious because if it’s closer to 5%, I can live with that. But it it’s more like 20% or more, then I’m not sure if it’s worth the risk.
my dongle is making a high pitch noise sound switch does not want turn on any more
donge green light stays on ,dont have any homebrew or cfw just sx os pro always worked perfect
the dongle is making a popping sound when i stick it in the usb port

my swith wont boot in to sx os anymore ,i put in the dongle hole + and power than after 5 sec+- the dongle makes a popping noise and turns off
oke its working again realy strange did not get the option boot in cfw or og firmware straight to sx os
i have seen video of peoples dongle fitting all the way in mine does not stick out a bit when i pulled it a little bit out
it turned blue for 1 sec than green and it booted cfw
after rebooting my switch inserting the dongle it wont boot anymore in the cfw ,and now inserting the dongle not all the way it boot directly in to cfw no options to choose
very wierd
Your last point is your own fault... The console is still in RCM, so it boots once the dongle is inserted. (as will any device delivering any payload).going to send it back mine is acting not normal ,its making also a popping sound ! blue light wont turn on
i cannot plug it all the way in the usb part is to long ,sometimes sx os wont boot with the dongle inside and + power / sometimes switch is off and just by putting in the dongle touching nothing else or pressing nothing else sx os boots ! the thing is faulty just acts wierd ,
Inject the payload with TegraRcmSmash or an Android app. Then disable AutoRCM. It's not needed when you use emuNAND anyway.I switched sd-card today since wife wanted to play her tower defense game. As usual i shut my switch off and changed card. Then as usual the dongle wasnt working (nothing happened when i inserted it), so i thought i had to charge it (as usual) for a couple of seconds. No lights at all when charging this time, so no switch at all.
I had the switch in autorcm using emunand and now i cannot boot it at all. Contacted the reseller, hoping for the best, but is there any way to make my switch work again? I tríed booting it inserting jig and holding the +button, but all black. I hear the sound that windows is detecting it when i try to start and shut it down, but it´s always pitch black.
