On the latest software and install Sonic Mania thru SXOS menu. I . The game say it need a software update but I could just start and play it. Now I got update.nsp and install it but when I click on the game it says software update require and wont give me any other options but to Cancel or Download. I am on latest software.

Anybody experience similar issues

Is it a software update (for Sonic) or a firmware update it's asking for?
Because the firmware update popup is a known issue. To remove that, boot into maintenance mode (holding VOL PLUS and MINUS while booting Horizon), wait until you're in maintenance mode and turn off the Switch completely.

After installing the game update.nsp it's asking for a system update in order for me to start the game.

Is this a known issue even if you are on the latest software? Also how would I do that if I have SXOS install and autorcm. It boots automatically to sxos

Think hes talking about the launch game gives you 3 options start update close screen
If you updated it correct with the updates the nsp then just ignore it your
version number of game should of changed if it worked.

That is not a "System Software Update" that is a "Game Update" and even though you installed an update for sonic, it just means it either didn't install correctly or its an outdated update either way. If you're trying to avoid going online, I would try to remove the update. I believe you can do this but pressing '+' while hovering over the game and there should be an option that says "Delete Data" or something along those lines.

I got a similar problem once, I used to get the options "Start Software, Download, Cancel"
Then suddenly, I lost the option to refuse the update (when I was switching from xci's to nsp's)

I learned this was because of the discrepancy of the game versions, making your save game incompatible with the version you are trying to run.
