Also just got slapped with a ban after using TX's NSP installer & playing (legit) Splatoon 2 online. Been installing NSP's with DevMenu without a problem & going online.
I'll be waiting for a fully written-up report then, if you don't mind.

Does Nintendo ban your account or Console?
They're gonna ban the console 99% of the time. There's no reason to only ban the account since you can just link another one in case the console is not banned so if they were to ban the account, they would ban both. But they're very reserved on account bans since they don't cost as much as a console ban as well as they would probably prefer not touching your purchases until you did something really dastardly.

Team Xecuter should add that to their Ad "Installing SX OS will Ban your console from online services". I have a feeling they knew about this before hand.

I believe it was stated in their FAQ that they were not responsible for any bans you incur from using their software.
Is Checkpoint safe? Wanna add Some downloaded Save Games?
Any homebrew is not deemed 100% safe. That being said, no one has been banned for just using Checkpoint so use your own judgement.

I've used SXOS for emulators on 4.1 while being offline all the time.
Now I'd like to go clean if possible and update for legit games and hopefully not get banned. Are there any procedures that could help with that?

do you have any backup of your nand? right now the safest way is to use a copy of your nand before you used TX so

You sure you're not missing anything? Your ban doesnt really match the other sx bans with your current info given. I'm also unsure a retail cart would trigger a ban. I have a suspicion it was the tx autorcm unleas you remember anything else.
Agree, they will check your cert when you online gaming... if your Mario Kart 8 is not a dump, you will not get banned...
Did he dump version of Mario kart 8 without cert?
You're probably right that it wasn't Mario, but it was my go-to explanation at the time. The game was my physical real cartridge played online. No dumps or no messing with certs or anything like that

As far as my other info, what you see there is exactly what I said happened. Used SX OS CFW exclusively, never booted into OFW. Used homebrew and also used it while connected to the internet (ftpd, Switch Homebrew Appstore.) Updated all my backup games via CFW. Never played a single backup game online. Never used airplane mode, and unchecked to share my info with Nintendo. Didn't mess around with any other CFWs other than SX OS. No DevMenu, no NSP installations... I kept things pretty basic

Its not their problem, and why should it be? You (people who got banned) chose to use SX OS when they warned that you may get banned.

@Indominusda1e Are you 100% positive that you cannot log into your Nintendo Account from Nintendo's website? If so, that means your account was banned which is pretty rare so I'm just double checking to confirm what you posted.

update:
been playing mario kart 8 dlx online while in Cfw (first time was by mistake, then said screw it) since may.
haven't done any layeredFS or anything too crazy like trying to run backups from release groups (neither xci or nsp)
haven't backed up any of my own games.
still not banned.
what i have done is save edit botw so i have a rich link with inventory maxed at 99999999
played retroarch snes (cant remember the name of the app) alot and usually docked when playing
have had some crashes with codes i cant find on nintendo's website or even switchbrew
should i just go all the way with it and get backups and stay offline with it or count my blessings and stick with how i have it now?

Depends on how much you care about online tbh. You should also keep in mind that it will become paid for starting later this year so maybe squeeze some more life out of the free service than go off the grid come September (?)

Sorry my mistake yes I can log in to the website

Thank you very much. Have fun with your banned Switch XD
I got it purely for backups as the 3ds and ds were rife for it I mean I'm not gonna pay if I can get something for free so I'm happy as a pig in shit still my one X and ps pro are for online the switch is for something I can play in the toilet haha
