Does anyone know how to change a UPS file to GBA file, i wanna play some pokemon gba rom hacks but there in UPS file.

ups isn't a rom file, it's a patch fine. Use this program to patch them https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/519/
how can i save my progess that i have played of pokemon fire red in the VBA emulator of switch?

save ingame, the save file is automatically updated one second after the last write to the SRAM. When exiting the game, the save file is also flushed.
EDIT: to those asking if we're still working on this, the answer is yes and no. We're working on porting another version of VBA-M with more features(https://github.com/visualboyadvance-m/visualboyadvance-m)

I'm really a noob when it comes to cheats, @jakibaki implemented the whole cheat system, but AFAIK it's gameshark(version 1, 2 and 3 are supported, although I don't know what's the difference)Great work, thank you!

no, this emulator doesn't support them. But the one we're currently porting does.
they are saved, if you close the emulator properly(by pressing X) and not just pressing the homebutton.
how can I update the VBA of retroarch with the new VBA ...I want.to use that cheats hehe.
EDIT: How you do to make the cheats work? it doesnt work in pokemon fire red....

Wanted to thank you for this emulator. I have been using it and it`s awesome. Just a doubt, the new one you are working on, is there any window of time of release? Just curious, because yes, I want to also be able to put in there the Gameboy and Game Boy Color games.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.+1 -

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.+1 -
