hi guys,
i've received my sx-pro , and activated it on my nintendo switch
but i've started to have some problems with my console
so, i will buy a new one this week
do you know what i must buy again for this new console ?
i mean, can i use my actual sx-pro dongle with a new sx os licence i will buy, or must i buy again the complete package (sx-pro + licence included) ?
or is there a way to reset the licence maybe by contacting team-xecuter ?

soirry if it has been yet asked but i don't find the info nowhere
thanx in advance for your help ;)

You only need to buy the SX os. You might be able to contact Team Xecuter but they did state this on their q/a. So I highly doubt that they will help
yeah, i've contacted them but i doubt they can help with that
anyway i will buy a new sx-os licence , but do you think with that i could use my actual sx-pro dongle on my new nintendo switch ?
because in the team-xecuter faq it says that :

"Q: Is SX OS tied to my console/dongle?
A: Yes. In case of SX Pro the license is tied to your dongle and console. In case of SX Lite the license is tied to your license code and console."

so i've afraid to buy a new sx-os licence and that in fact won't work because sx-pro dongle already activated on my broken switch
thanx in advance for your answer ;)

The dongle stores a key so I’m not sure if it still checks for licensing file on as card to activate or not. If it does then the SX os is the way to go. If not then you need to buy the whole dealio. I believe that it still checks for one so you should be good.

Pop your SD card into the computer and see if that file exists. If it does you should be able to use the dongle still with Sx os

I think you should be able to just use the dongle to load up the software stored on the sdcard and use the licence with that software.

I don't think the dongle itself has memory to store software and licences, AFAIK it is just used to exploit the system and launch payloads.

You are good dongle only shipped with a key on it then activated online to a specific console. If it didn’t people would be cloning the dongle already. The dongle still creates a license key on the sd card it checks for to activate backup loading again all you need is sxos

Its stated 4 in their FAQ for a loooong time that you can buy licenses for other consoles and use a single dongle in them so new switch = other console, dongle will always work, you just lost the built-in key to activate SX OS which you activated already on the old broken console.

But anywah what did broke on the console? Might be fixable...

well in fact, my right joy-con isn't recognized anymore when attached to the switch
if i put it gently without clipsing it , it's recognized, but if i clips it to the console, it's detected as i had the right joy con in my hand
so i've called amazon customer support because i buyed it on february 2017 , and they refund it to the price i bought it
that's why i will buy a new one
but if there is a way to fix it, i can hear what you can explain to me ;) ?

Probably some pins went bad, a new rail is very cheap and super easy to replace, no solder required...

yeah i think that's what happened, do you have a good site to find this rail and triwing screwdriver (to be able to dissassemble the switch) , thanx ;)

The tools I bought are those:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/12-In-1-Pr...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

The rail people are buying from aliexpress if I'm not mistaken, but theres probably also good deals on ebay.

And if the rail is not the problem then the joy-con would be the problem, but 4 that you can simply buy the Pro controller and stop using the joy-cons or just buy a single replacement on the one that is broken or just buy a new pair and you will also have 2 pairs for more people to play with you on the console so you can enjoy it with friends\family even more.

That's your fault man, you killed the rail with your jig. Lucky that Amazon apparently doesn't know about that.

i've tried another joycon of one of my friend and it does the same so i think that's a problem of the right rail yeah

well i haven't killed my rail, it suddenly happened, and amazon told me it happens sometimes , so no problem
don't be so rude with me ;)

it's stupid tx doesnt allow to the license to be put over... thtas gay
yeah, completely ok with you, there would be a way to just desactivate the licence from the console and activate a new one
maybe they will do that in a future update, who knows ;)

You are the type of guy that burns his house down and then runs to the insurance company claiming it happened suddenly and once called out for blatantly lying you try to take a morale high ground because you lack the mental aptitude to admit that you fucked up.

Those rails don't break randomly. It broke because you shoved a jig in there and either used a faulty self-made one or did it wrong. I hope someone that knows you personally reaches out to amazon and tells them what really happened so that people like you don't get away with their bullshit.
