Hi guys.I updated my R4igold to the firmware 7.0 from this site "http://www.r4igold.cc/3ds_download.asp" but I made a mistake.
The r4 that i updated was the 2012 version, and the firmware was for the 2013 version.
Now i can't read the r4 on the dsi,but i can read it on the sysnand of the 3ds.There is a way to downgrade it?Or to install a different firmware and then reinstall the right one?Because when i try to install the older firmware it says "There's no need to install a older version of the firmware".
The r4 icon is "Spongebob".
Also, when i try to start a game the screen becomes white..

If the cart is working in your 3DS i don't think the firmware update is the reason.
Often the 20xx versions of the same cart are identical.

I do not use this card, but as I understand, the "v7.0 upgrade patch" refers to the then-new (in 2013) Nintendo 3DS firmware version 7.0. The latest kernel of the card is the 3.7, and it seems to be a Wood kernel.

As mentioned in the website, did you remove the old kernel (basically, all the contents of the flashcard's SD card bar your ROMs and game saves) after applying the upgrade patch?

You could try re-flashing your card using ntrboot flasher, but I do not know what its original firmware is.
Check "Section V - Removing ntrboot" of the guide: https://3ds.hacks.guide/installing-boot9strap-(ntrboot)

Ok, there is a trick for it.

First, format the microSD card used for the R4 card.
Second, install the update on the formatted microSD.
Third, test it.

Well,i don't use this r4igold from 2012 because i updated my dsi xl(1.4.5) .Now,thanks to the twloader I installed the update (because it's a nds file) but after I installed the right update I went forward installing also the 7.0 firmware

Anyway,i formatted the microsd but the firmware it's the same(because it's installed on the cartridge)

Maybe a different firmware

STOP
BUMPING
YOUR THREAD

If you really want a working flashcart, try buying a new one.

So your card is the yellow one that is labeled "Cannot be reverted" in the NTRBoot thread?

No,it's blue
And,why buy a new flashcart if this is fixable?

Are you *SURE* It's one of the unofficial carts? Pictures would be nice.

And we don't know if it's fixable. We're trying to figure that out...

Okay,i found a patch for my flashcart in this thread https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-ntrboot-for-r4igoldcc-ards-ez-ardsi.483802/
And It's awesome,the patch remove the firmware check,but there's a problem:
When i start it the program doesn't erase the old firmware,It only upgrade that, and that's a problem beacause doesn't work
