Hey Guys,

I am just wondering, can Nintendo ban me if I boot In stock firmware and use online services or can I only get banned if I boot in Hecate and then use online services? Thank you.

Idk. In the future development of Atmosphere, I am assuming that the payload will be written to the eMMC or the payload will modify the Switch's OS. Nintendo might be able to detect if the system is modified and give ban.

Shiny Quagsire got a ban on his unhacked Switch, just because he ran PegaSwitch once.

EDIT: Scratch that, apparently there was some CDN messing, a long time ago.
Nobody runs pegaswitch "once"
I doubt that. He got banned because he has the same account on both switches and ran the CDN. He's a hacker, I am sure he's banned for CDN and not homebrew

If it was homebrew ban, everyone here would have been banned already.
But the question is, why hasn't anyone from gbatemp banned. I'm sure a number of people here used the CDN download tool that was carelessly released.

Likely sending invalid command arguments to see how far they could push the CDN systems.

Booting "stock" through Hekate still decrypts, rebuilds, and encrypt Pkg2. So Nintendo could possibly still detect if you boot stock through Hekate. Whether or not you will get banned is up in the air.
I think he's talking about completely rebooting without using hekate to boot at all.

I think Shiny (and Scires) got banned for being notorious hackers that were targeted by Nintendo. I mean, Shiny said he last used CDN almost 8 months ago on that Switch. And if Nintendo was going through a log, then these bans would be part of a bigger banwave, but its involved as many people you can count on one hand.
