Anyone knows why the switch keeps some folders from a game installation in the /registered subfolder even if the game has been deleted? only way to clear everything is wiping from settings
Is there actually a delete option? I thought there was only the "archive" option, which keeps the icon on the home menu so it makes sense that there would still be some data left since it has to store the icon and title somewhere.Anyone knows why the switch keeps some folders from a game installation in the /registered subfolder even if the game has been deleted? only way to clear everything is wiping from settings

Yes there is a full delete option, in system settings. Is there actually a delete option? I thought there was only the "archive" option, which keeps the icon on the home menu so it makes sense that there would still be some data left since it has to store the icon and title somewhere.
Ah.Yes there is a full delete option, in system settings.
yeah my tought was that maybe there was some sort of menu where it lists all your past downloads and a redownload button, but nothing like that exists rn. So I guess it's some kind of indexing leftover, strange stuffAh.
According to this it's some metadata: http://switchbrew.org/index.php?title=NCA
It's probably safe to delete. I don't see why they would keep this around for a game that's fully deleted, unless the console has a list of deleted software somewhere to make it easier to redownload without going into your eShop purchase history. Maybe they have some internal use for it or maybe it's an accidental leftover, who knows.
