The level of scrutiny being applied to your claim is the literal lowest possible, like, "who even said it". I'm not even asking for what proof they have, just, literally a single shred of information so I can see their claim and assess it?
The same scrutiny is being applied to the BBC's story, as you can tell because I can actually name and link to it.
The fact you can't even say whose story your claim comes from just makes it blatantly obvious that even this most basic level of scrutiny is too much.
Do you think its possible that these random accounts you've heard might not be true? You place a lot of faith in people you can't even remember.
