No, we will not be changing the names, this is going to not be a localization, someone else can do that later with our fixed translation as a base. And no we cannot just replace the vocal engine, it is hard baked into the code and no one knows how to modify it at all, Nintendo couldn’t even add English to the game, that’s why the English localization was scrapped until the sequel.
