Hacking We all good to update as of 5/18?

So with all the new developments coming out soon and the release of the TX dongle/ Atmosphere coming out soon, we can just update our switches to the latest FW and update all our games and all that right?

As of 5/18/18, its safe to just update the switch to the latest version
5.0.2
(I am sitting on 3.0.1 and thinking there is not point in staying on it right?)

You should tell them why. This is a special exception/situation that isn't the norm for other blooming hacking scenes.

For me, it depends on one thing.

Do you mind entering RCM everytime you boot to get homebrew/play backups/etc?

That means using the jig or any other method that involves getting into RCM.

If you dont want to do it everytime, then dont update, if you dont mind, update.

Do NOT update. Lower is ALWAYS better.

There may be a way to install CFW without needing RCM.

Since Games are 7 GB + which dont Work in FAT32

Well from thread like this one , it seem there is a problem with the unit battery and using RCM together, hopefully they will come up a solution for it. In term of game size, they might do it like the way PS3 games are split up and recombine before installing.
