Very unlikely to be fake. One guy would buy an OS license, report it as fake, and that would be the entirety of their sales. Or close to it. In other words, if it was fake they wouldn't sell the OS separately, they'd make everyone pay more for the hardware, and they'd have a longer grace period to scam people before initial shipments of hardware get delivered.

smdh you guys must be new to the console modchip scene... Releasing teaser videos before full release is a standard practice. On top of that, as other's have noted, TX has been around for a long, long time. I bought their Xbox 360 USB loader modchip back in the day before RGH came around. Not only are they well known but they have experience in mass producing console modchips.

Why even make a thread for this instead of posting in the main thread?

EDIT: And to those users saying "why can't we post about questioning their legitimacy?": you're fully allowed to have an opinion but you don't need to share it if it's ill-informed.

WTH is this SH!t post supposed to be about again? It's Team MF Xecuter no need to worry. Team Xecuter delivers 100%. I wouldn't care if this thing ran on my, somewhat limited, hopes and dreams let alone a teensy or whatever. Really wish people would put there big boy pants on and do some research on their own before crying fake and whining about nothing.

Another thing...Don't talk about a Team that has been in quite a few scenes with phenomenal success like they are some cheap Chinese knock off piece of crap.

Rant out

Holy hell.
How many more threads do I have to read regarding Team Xecuters credentials.
Do your research on them before posting shit.

Doesn't excuse XTs shady way of business, but go ahead and back them because "they've been around". My money will stay far away from these guys

Xbox chips that always worked perfectly... xbox360 Jtag and RGH products that were top notch... this isn't some hack team here. They have many, many solid products under their belts for decades. Welcome to the 2018 OP!

If you want a good intro to “shady business practices” in this area, go check out the history of Mr. Flash, formerly Bung HK, on wiki or wherever.

Nintendo sues me for enabling/distributing backup copiers, no problem, I’ll just change my company trading name and rerelease the same products under a different moniker lol.

Just count your lucky stars you won’t have to use an old style parallel port and 6 AA batteries.

It's one thing to question the legitimacy of something, but it's another to be completely oblivious.

As said multiple times in this thread and others, T-X has been around since the original Xbox days. They didn't just "sprout up" to release this like Gateway did, nor do they have anything to gain to ruin their reputation with a fake announcement and/or product. As for the "thief" argument: You honestly don't think they "stole" fusée gelée or had it leaked to them, right? ReSwitched clearly wasn't the only team with this exploit. The whole "DRM" thing where they sell their license is clearly so they have some guaranteed money out of this. So until the open source implementation is released or some schmuck figures out how to bypass the license and puts up a cracked payload or whatever, they have money in their pocket from the early adopters.

You're free to discuss things and have your own opinion of course, but at least actually have a clue what you're saying instead of wearing your tinfoil hat and putting out conspiracy theories.

Team Xecuter did some AMAZING work on the OG Xbox and the Xbox 360. I know a few people that got an Xecuter modchip in their OG Xbox with the LCD screen, etc...I just did a soft mod on mine because it was so easy, but then they did some great work on the Xbox 360 as well..I recall they had the CK3 Probe for flashing Lite-On drives for the Xbox 360..(granted, people figured out how to probe the drives without it, but they had it readily available). Modding consoles seems to be a 2-way street a lot of times, if you want a simple solution, it may cost money. If you are comfortable doing things yourself, it could cost money but be cheaper than another route or it could be totally free. Personally, the dongle solution isn't half bad...you don't need to carry an Android phone around with a USB-C OTG adapter (I personally use an iPhone as my daily phone, so for me using the Android route, i'd have to carry two phones around) or a laptop every time you reboot. I have read that the current homebrew channel version of CFW that runs homebrew thru the albums program will freeze if you put in sleep mode. Meaning you'd have to power off the system and get back into RCM mode when you want to come back later.

I dunno where I said that, but okay
Not you.

The first being that they are profiting off of other people's hard work, which is probably true. Lots of hackers tend to use software made by others without their permission for fun and profit. This is obviously what's happening with their apparent ability to run "backups", so it seems silly to expect better of them when it comes to the hard work of other hackers. There's money to be made for a plug-n-play solution, and no honor among thieves.

Honestly, confused about this one. What has been so shady?

yea 100% of the time... really enjoying my xbox 1 mod chip.

This is just ignorance and your own inability to read context or just maybe your ability to read into your own perceptual reality. Never once said Team Xecuter delivers 100% on everything ever just the fact that 100% of what TX has shown has been nothing but exceptional and delivered as promised

I swear if I had a kid, I would punch him/her in the face just for all the rest of his kind posting stupid shit like this. (No kids were harmed in the making of this reply.)

As I said in another thread about this elusive product.
Supposed Drm, extremely lacking of product details, asking for pre-order money and all we have to go by is a 34 second video of XT installing their software and scrolling through games.... you be the judge. Just seems a tad shady to me. I don't care if they have been around for 15 years, I don't put my eggs in one basket so easily. I'll let you guys be disappointed before I waste money on something in the home brew scene just because it has branding. At least have the decency to tell us everything the product does if youre going to charge $50 for it. Terrible marketing or shady company? Who knows..I'm not sold or hyped one bit. Too old for that shit
