Hacking [WIP] PSP injection

In the Sc0 Folder there are files called license.dat and license.info, when I tried to build the PKG I kept getting errors with License.dat.

Hm yeah theyre removed already, in the list I posted they arent in there either.

Do we need nptitle.dat and npbind.dat though?

Just spotted a bunch of typos, fixed and removed most the sfo editing part as people are getting very confused.

Will update sfo editing and files required later on.

so looks like you are making edits as we speak. Originally you had the following for your example

UP9000-CUSA9999_00-UCUS986620000001

But I reasoned this was missing a digit so I changed that to

UP9000-CUSA99999_00-UCUS986620000001

But when I go to build the fpkg I still get following error

"format of the np title file is not valid"

Any idea? Oh and the problem I was actually having earlier is pressing "c" does not close the chunk panel for me in latest win 10 i have to press file and then close...hope this helps others

So I edited the np title.dat which had a different id. Whatdoyaknow. Then that got me past that error. Now my error is

"could not create system directory. (sce_sys/about) any ideas?

Whoops typo.

Yeah ive removed some sfo info for now, its getting confused, for now ive taken it back to being just one title installable at a time, as people editing various files asking on various sites getting me muddled too.

Yes, close that and hit build again.

Its known error.

Then save gp4 for project and use that, just swap iso, and never get error again.

lol that would be helpful to know. So what I did was just take it out and it did let me build it. Should I actually leave it in?

ok copied it back tried build again and that works! woot! what do you mean by swap iso? I thought i had already done that no?

sadly i did all that but I still get the message that the same content has already been installed. SFO/NP TITLE was edited with following

UP9000-CUSA99999_00-UCUS986620000001

CUSA99999

How are you able to have both titles installed at same time what step am I missing?

wild so parappa is still there wha??! It didn't overwrite it? What black magic is this?

If you dont edit the sfo and everything everywhere the id is the same, and cant install more than one with same id.

Did you edit the pngs? If so it should show those.

The gp4 is the cue file if you will... the table of contents. You can swap them and still build using same list of files.

Swap iso, Open gp4 with pub gen, build same pkg with different game. Simples.

I edited the guide to remove that sfo info as people were getting it all kinds of wrong, and I think it needs more testing.

yeah i posted edit to my comment and actually everything did work even though it gave me same content message my pics even worked (i think opening them in gimp and saving as jpg and then resaving as png did the trick. When I looked at filesizes they changed. So something going on there. Remember they had the right dimensions and bit size...)

For the ease of use, just swap the iso.

Thats why i made a generic holder for all tests

Confirmed nptitle.dat and npbind.dat are needed, updated file list, and reinstated PARAM.SFO section with nptitle.dat changes too.

strange when I follow this process patapon will not boot was there a certain version you used? Installs but just goes to a black screen not sure whatsup...

RE-RE-updated the guide, to add nptitle.dat and param.sfo info. Sorry crossed wires: they are required.

I try to use specifically US rips preferably from pSy-PSP releases, as the base game is US and the USER_L0.IMG was infact identical to the pSy release.

ALSO: pataon, CANT get past SIGN screen.

Need to somehow edit the control.lua (IIRC) to enable analog stick... at least I think thats how I remember it controlled on PSP.

no clue tried a different usa rip but same screen both times says to sign and i press every button and it just hangs so i am going to have to ask for proof to consider it working not working on my end.

Good luck @KiiWii and devs. TBH compatibility now is almost 1% (only two games work so far). Hopefully research would permit to find new ways to support more games in the future.

I think there is a way, but apparently the emu itself lacks a lot of basic functionality.

There are a lot of us looking at it right now.

There seems to be 2 main approaches:

1, reverse, add to (edit functions) and modify the emu

2, figure out if unsigned files, or dummy bin files are causing black screens.

Hopefully something will click... idk, I mean cube test runs.....
