it doesn't matter what version you get it on, you'll still have access to cfw in the summer

the boot rom is the first code that executes when you power on the switch

if you are already pre- 5.0 hold back since many exploits were patched at 5.0

no one but reswitched knows for sure, but if you stay on 4.x.x, you won't have to hardmod in the future

fusee gelee is an exploit like a9lh or b9s for the 3ds. it just provides a way to launch payloads

Oh, thanks! So is ShofEL2 the same? An exploit? Do i have to do the pin 10/ground stuff with both, right? There is where im kinda lost.

i would assume so, but i don't really know a lot about ShofEL2

I read some time ago that nintendo was already developing a hardware revision to fix the current exploit, ¿is there any news on that? ¿if I buy a brand new switch on amazon will it still be on the "good" hardware revision for cfw?

your thinking of mariko. that revision fixes the tegra x1 exploit. if you get a switch now, you'll be fine

you can. a 3.0.0 console will be more expensive, and harder to find

preferably the one that came with the pro controller, but really any high quality cable will work

Currently you need to buy a dongle to use wireless controller like the DS4 or xb1 controller on the switch. is software solution possible to do the same(in the future after the switch is hacked)? or external hardware is still needed?

I don't care how many times this has been asked (if it has been), I don't like sifting through pages of posts.

So...the general process for launching FG is:

- Turn switch off
- Put stuff on SD card, put SD card into switch
- Jump two pins on the right joycon rail (console-side)
- Plug switch into computer
- hold vol+ while turning switch on, with the above stuff done
- run payload
- profit

Does it have to be actually off? I thought I read something about sleepmode working but that may have just been me being tired.

Does it do anything if you don't run the payload or have an SD card in? I just wanna see it do something interesting.
