Retro, yes.

I was one of those poor kids that grew up with an NES attached to me like an IV until about 1997 when my brother and I got an N64 and Dreamcast for Christmas. No game gear, no genesis, no snes, no nomad, no other fun stuff until 1997. We got the NES in '93.. so uhh.. parents were a little late to the party

I can happily say I now have every Nintendo console except for a 2DSXL and a FamicomBox (working on it). Nice try mom and dad.

I've never dumpster dived at GameStop.. but I bought a PS Vita game from them once when I was desperate. Also bought my black friday N3DS there (hey it was only $99) and immediately hardmodded it. I usually stay away otherwise.. i just prefer buying stuff online.

Growing up with the NES and my DMG-01 (got it for my bday in 1990) my favorite games were:
Super Mario Land (GB)
Tetris (GB)
F1-Race (GB)
Dr. Mario (NES)
Krusty's Fun House (NES) - idk why I liked this game so much.. gameplay was kinda annoying/glitchy
Commando (NES)
Milon's Secret Castle (NES)

Our library was a bit deprived.. but at least I had my friends

i grew up with a ps1
then after my mom threw it out for no reason i got a gameboy and my family assumed i liked nintendo stuff and kept getting me more nintendo stuff
but i like playstation better

I remember spending many days at my friends house just to play RE, Crash, Twisted Metal, Vigilante 8, Parappa the rapper... man.. PS was the holy grail for blockbuster titles in the 90s.

In January they had RE on Game Pass. I got an Xbox One X through the doritos and dew 60 seconds thing.. had just set it up.. first game I play? Resident Evil HD.. lol. Not like I didn't have it for my PS, PS3, or 360.. but the last playthrough I did had been at least 6 years before that.
