Hacking Super super noob, need some help please.

Basically I found my old r4 card and I mean seriously old. It says "(ndsl/nds)" on it. Now I have a completely new microSD card but I can't make sense of any tutorial I've watched and was wondering if anybody would be kind enough to walk me through the process?
My 3ds version is 11.2.0-35E if that's needed information. Thanks

Pic of the card? Either way you can install a cfw on your 3ds even without the card with your firmware.

It stands for custom firmware. It allows permanent access to homebrew, mods, etc.
Just follow 3ds.hacks.guide
