Mastershoes,

I am new to this emulator stuff. I have Homebrew setup on my WII but how did you get your Wii Main to look like the below? How do you install all the files or where? Thanks sorry for the newb question.

MS's Themed Emulator Forwarder Collection: 2nd Edition

2nd-Edition-Icon-Page.gif

Here is the 2nd Edition of the biggest collection of emulator forwarders out there! 34 in total (+3 alternates), all with a matching theme. All of their Title ID's are now made to match GameTDB! (So you can D/L covers with the click of a button!) They also all use Fix94's v14 forwarding source (Thanks Fix!). I did however include a simple forwarder for smsplus and hugo-gx, in case you don't have the modded versions of those emulators. See spoiler tags for more info and D/L links.

Most Recent Updates:
Update 08/02/15 - Added a not64 forwarder (I just modified the wii64 forwarder.)

Update 05/08/13 - Updated OP link with v14 forwarders (they were v11).

Update 12/13/11 - Added Dolphin Screenshots to replace the video's I had to take down.

Update 11/03/11 - Well, I'd been sitting on a few updates for awhile, but was holding off to see if this 5 video limit would be fixed. And.... It wasn't. So I removed all but 5 video's so I could update the page. Most are viewable in the "Collection" video, but if you want to see more individual vids, follow one of these Video's to my Youtube page, where you can see everything i've put up. Updates Listed here from 10/07/11 to present are all new to this site. I also have forwarders for Hatari, Fuse, and OpenBOR finished, but cannot find a forwarding source that doesn't crash upon exiting the app. If I can find a good source for these, I'll have 3 more to add to the collection!

Update 10/12/11 - Updated ScummVM and GxGeo v1&2 to the v11b no_arguments source. A few people were having issues with former versions, and this has resolved them. Also, I updated the all-inclusive .rar file today, so everything is up-to-date!

Update 10/10/11 - Added a GnuBoy forwarder to the "Handheld Emulators" section. Video of the new forwarder will be added soon, and I have not yet updated the all-inclusive .rar file. I will post here when I do. EDIT - Vids are up for GnuBoy and UAE Amiga.

Update 10/09/11 - Added an Amiga forwarder to the "Computer Emulators" section. Also, I realized that I gave WiiSX the incorrect title ID for WiiTDB, so I corrected that. Video of the new forwarder will be added soon, and I have not yet updated the all-inclusive .rar file. I will post here when I do.

10-07-11b - Got ScummVM working with the newest v11b forwarding source. Link and info has been updated, and the all-inclusive .rar file has been updated and is current with everything on this page.

10-07-11 - Got WiiEngine working with the v11 dollz_only source (Thanks Fix94!), so I got rid of the Simple Forwarder and Channel. Updated the individual link, but not the all-inclusive .rar file yet. Will update here when i do.

Update 10-04-11 - Big Update!! I have changed out all the Title ID's on these forwarders (they were "ZDU1" - "ZD30") to the official WiiTDB Title ID's (D??A). This way, if you're using WiiFlow for example, you can download the matching "channel covers" without having to rename anything! Boosh! Also, I have changed the icons for "BlueMSX-Wii, DeSmuMEWii, vbagx, and Wiituka" to better match the rest of them (ie - switched out BlueMSX-wii for MSX, Wiituka for Amstrad CPC, etc.) Oh, and I fixed the logo on GxGeo v1 as well. Videos of the updated forwarders have been uploaded, and all links on this page have been updated! The all inclusive .rar file also now includes every forwarder and every version on this page, plus the "Old Logo" versions of BlueMSX-wii, DeSmuMEWii, vbagx, and Wiituka.

Update 09-30-11 - All vids have been added, and the all-inclusive .rar file has been updated to include every forwarder (and every version) on this page.

Update 09-28-11 - Added a PC Engine (WiiEngine) Forwarder, as well as a PAL version of SNES (snes9xgx), and Megadrive (genplusgx). I uploaded a Simple Forwarder and a Channel for WiiEngine, because I was getting codedumps upon exiting the app with all the forwarding sources i tried. I also added v11 forwarders for smsplus and hugo-gx, but they are ONLY compatible with the USB MOD versions!!!!!!!!! If you're using an official release of these, stick with the Simple Forwarders. Vids to come soon, and these have not yet been added to the all-inclusive rar file. Will update that when I get the vids up.

Update 09/25/11 - Changed the forwarding source for hugo-gx and smsplus from Fix94's v11 source to a basic "simple forwarder". Reason being that I couldn't find a source that would allow roms for these emu's to loaded from the USB (would give a "error reading USB" message). So in essense, it would allow forwarding to the app itself on the usb, but you still would only be able to launch roms from the SD, so it was kind of pointless. So with this change, if your app is on the SD, it'll load roms just fine from the USB. Long story short, as long as your hugo-gx and smsplus app folders are located on the SD, you're good to go (roms will load from SD and USB).

Forwarder v14 Source Features:
-Uses WiiXplorer as a forwarder base
-NTFS, FAT32, ext2, ext3 and ext4 partition support
-IOS58 for USB 2.0 speed
-Can load from USB and SD
-Can load dol, dollz and elf files
-meta.xml arguments support

All Forwarders Include the Following Paths:
SD:/apps/????/boot.dol
SD:/apps/????/boot.elf
USB:/apps/????/boot.dol
USB:/apps/????/boot.elf

Sidenotes:

-These look really good with all the Dark-Wii Themes.

-If you're angrified that your favorite games screenshot isn't in the forwarder and you're familiar with customizemii, just replace one of the following images in the banner: samplebanner_a; samplebanner_c; samplebanner_i; samplebanner_j - with a .png of your favorite screenshot, and it should size out pretty darn close!

-If there's anything else Emulatorwise you'd like to see up here, put in a request and I'll get to it.

Hope you enjoy them!

Got some requests taken care of. Vids will be posted soon!

Update 09-27-11 - Added a PC Engine (WiiEngine) Forwarder, as well as a PAL version of SNES (snes9xgx), and Megadrive (genplusgx).
Shoes check your messages bigg guy been trying to get in touch

how do i install this

Yes these are forwarders (wads) they forward from the wii menu to apps located on your sd or usb device. The file info shows the paths they forward to.

SD:/apps/jzintvwii/boot.dol
SD:/apps/jzintvwii/boot.elf
USB:/apps/jzintvwii/boot.dol

when i click on the channel and hit start, they load up and than kick back out to wii menu. if go to the emulators thru the homebrew channel they work fine.

advice?

I even installed the vbagx through homebrew channel and it still does it. The turbografx channel says I need to place boot.dol in the hugo gx folder? hugo gx does have a boot.dol and the channel is a .wad so i cant put anything in it. Should i place the .wad in the hugo gx apps folder?

First off, placing a wad in the apps folder will do absolutely nothing. You did install the wads via WadManager or MMM i assume?

Off the top of my head, i can think of two reasons why they might not be working.

A - IOS 58 isn't installed on your wii (pretty unlikely unless your on an old wii that hasn't been updated)
B - Different app folder names than the default?

For example in the case of hugo-gx...

apps/hugo-gx/boot.dol

if the app folder isn't named exactly "hugo-gx" it's not going to forward there. You can simply re-name the app folder.

Thanks. I will try renaming the folders hugo-gx and vba-gx. I did notice some have the dash and some dont.

Thank you so much for all of this! I'm a little tardy to the party, but this is making this free Wii I got worth every penny I didn't spend! :rofl2: You rule dude!

Hi!
I installed your NES forwarder, and, if i open it by pressing A, it works fine, but if I am in other channel and press "+" or "-" it freeze the Wii.
Do you have any fix, please?

Hi!

It's an old issue. +,- scrolling won't work. I've tried a few different ways of trimming them down so that it would be possible, but it can't be fixed without making them a really shitty quality, and dropping a lot of the animation and the audio... so i never found it worth it to revamp it to make them crappier. It never really bothered me 'cuz i never use +,- to scroll through channels.

So in short, the issue won't be fixed with these particular forwarders, but like i said, if you don't use +,- scrolling there aren't any problems. If that's a feature that you can't live without, check out my updatedTroytheZombie forwarders, those can use +,- scrolling. The set isn't as complete, but i did make a significant amount of add-ons to Troy's original set. Link is in my sig.

Seems that there's a compatibility issue with some USB HDDs where they refuse to work with loaders, but work fine otherwise. In such cases, Mastershoes' loaders work fine as long as the roms folder is located on the SD card. So, install a larger SD card and you're good to go.

Mastershoes, any plans for adding mGBA to the loader list, or are you basking in retirement? :rofl2: The one mGBA forwarder that's floating around is really hit or miss and has been reported not to work by multiple users, including myself. Was thinking a few tweaks to the VBA forwarder would probably do the trick.

Hello!

Any chance I can find a DL link for the forwarder pack that doesn't make my antivirus software go crazy? I click "accept" and despite this, my AV forces to close the pages... I don't feel like pushing my luck and turning off my AV just to download forwarders lol!

Wow, this is a really great collection. Good work! But you can edit the channel installer for WiiSX a bit to use it for the modified and improved version WiiSXR (https://github.com/Mystro256/wiisxr/releases)? That would be great!

It would probably only the folder paths are adjusted, so instead of ../WiiSX/ would have to be ../WiiSXR/. I do not know about WADs like this, otherwise I would do it myself.
