This thing has been Necro'd and Re-Necro'd so many times... almost as much as the (J) version. Probably pretty close to the Phantasy Star 0 (J) one too.PeaceB said:I'm not understanding how to enter this cheat into desmume.
Can someone please walk me through it? :/
Thank youI JUST typed this up in another topic, so...
This feels... old.twiztidsinz said:1). File -> Open Rom... -> (Pick your ROM)
2). Emulation -> Cheats -> List -> ["Cheats list" window]
3). Click the Action Replay button -> ["Add Action Replay code" window]
4). Paste your AR code and give it a description, then click Add button
5). Repeat Steps 3~4 for each code you want
6). Here's the tricky part... on the "Cheats list" window, press the SAVE buttonIf you get a "Can't save cheats to file." error:twiztidsinz said:Go Config -> Path Settings -> Cheats and make sure your path is set to a folder you can write to, like your DeSmuME folder.
If your DeSmuME folder is inside C:\Program Files (i.e. C:\Program Files\DeSmuME 0.9.6\) then you should move the whole folder outside because UAC in Windows Vista/7 prevents non-admin elevated programs from writing to anything inside C:\Program Files.

Very old.
Are you maybe using the (J) or (E) versions?PeaceB said:Thanks...that's exactly what I did though before I posted here...then I entered the time warp and it froze... not sure why.
I just tried a (U) save from GameFAQs.com on my (J) version and it worked.Nathan Drake said:First of all, you shouldn't need the cheat code. The AP was fixed ages ago. The game should work completely clean.Depends on his cart/emulator.
Option 2 is to try the (J) ROM (which has full English). I'm not sure the (U) save will work on that though, so try to get the (U) ROM working.Nathan Drake said:Now, you have two options. Option 1 is try the clean ROM and see how that works. If it freezes the same, back up, format, and add freshfirmwaremenu files back onto the MicroSD card.Firmware =/= Menu
Firmware is what gets updated on the DS to block cards and add fixes/features (example: 1.3, 1.4, 1.4.1)
It is also what gets updated on the internals of the card itself as well (ak2ifw_update_141.zip) usually to bypass the block.

What links? Also, you necrobumped a 10 year old topic, where the last post was made 7 years ago. Don't do that. All these links are dead. I have a working one if anyone is interested, but I am not allowed to post links because I am new.
Try this tool: http://www.ds-scene.net/?s=viewtopic&nid=11056 Remember to use a clean ROM.I have looked all over the place for a fixed chrono trigger rom. All the download links for fixed rom on this thread are dead. I figured it would be better to necrobump than to make a redundant thread. I can't be the only one out there still looking for chrono trigger.
