That Kirby game has piqued my interest for sure. And I never played The World Ends with You so might pick that up when it comes out. Sadly not too much else of interest. Dark Souls is cool but eh.

Despite only being 15 minutes, this direct got me hyped beyond belief. I'm super excited for Kirby, and I'm glad they're still porting Wii U games over for people who didn't get to play them. I'm also a huge fan of Mario Tennis, and Aces already looks waaaay better than Ultra Smash. All around a pretty good direct for only being 15 minutes long. I can't wait to see what Nintendo has planned beyond early 2018.

Honestly, probably because it would take much more work. If they do it right, that is.

I does look better, but it seems that they are still playing to safe from what was shown. I don't really play tennis games that much, but if I want to play a Mario one, it should be a bit more... chaotic.

Ports and new games are not mutually exclusive. Takes much less work to port a game than to make a new one. The developers behind the new Donkey Kong games, Retro Studios, is working on a different project.

Can they just use this format from now on? Short and concise clips of games instead of having 40 minutes of video talking about things for too long, reminds me of playstation experience.

Also I would have just been happy with 2 in 1 DKC returns HD collection, but now I'm worried these ports gonna be $60 and that is why I haven't bought mario kart 8 deluxe yet.

But I could'nt care less about the other 'new' games...especially dark souls, unless they fix the difficulty curve, add a compass and quest menu. The whole dying and the game instantly gets a difficulty increase is bull shit. I don't see why everyone has a boner for it. Definitely the most over hyped and over rated game series of the last decade besides monster hunter

Meh, the Mario sports games are decent fun for an hour but they get boring quickly as there's not much to them. The story mode might be fun I guess.
Hyrule Warriors is just a boring grindfest, it getting ported yet again isn't going to change that.

I'm fine with TWEWY art style and graphics. I might get it. That said, kind of frustrating we don't have a true sequel yet. Hopefully this will help us get that in a least under 5 years.
