I thought they said from 4.55 to 4.05 as downgrade or something.

I believe flatz is referring to his pkg game install method that allows piracy... i dont think we will see any k.exploit higher than 4.05 for some time :/

No, its not possible to port this exploit to anything other than 4.05, 4.05 contains the kernel exploit which was fixed in 4.06. the articles linked are referring to PS4 Homebrew Apps/Utilities package installer being ported from 4.55 to 4.05.

4.55 has an exploit which has not been released. So this is porting the application downward to work on 4.05 now.
