Annnnd I'm kinda at a loss here, this is the only game that I needed to extract it from ISO since I apparently won't be able to use an actual iso for my jailbroken ps3 (rebug).. at least as far as I know, I looked up Cobra, Webman with rebug but it's all over the place it's utterly confusing.

None of the tutorials I've been scouring the net for covers what to do after you extract an iso into game folder format, I know that for Multiman to be able to read it ( usually apparently ) I need this BLUS or some crap infront of the actual name of the game folder ? but I don't know where to find that. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed lol. the Tuts i've all found deal with zipped games and they cover that completely so I'm prepared for that.

I just have no idea what to do with the game now that i've extracted it, I'm looking around in it and i see a installer pkg, e boot.. do i just plop it in the GAMES folder on the formatted fat32 hdd ? I hope I don't get flamed for this I really have been doing a ton of research and there's so many different answers that contradict each other my head is gonna explode.

any help would be appreciated it thanks in advance !

format your external to ntfs
create a folder called PS3ISO on your external and place the ISOs in there
run the prepare ntfs hdd tool with your external connected to the PS3
Go to webman and youll see your game detected

(i just modded my first ps3 and learned all this by reading)

Better yet, format your external to FAT32. Redownload your game in "ps3_game" folder format. Create a folder called GAMES on the external drive. Transfer your downloaded game into the GAMES folder. Webman/Multiman will now see your game without the need to run prepNTFS every time. Do the same for any other game you want from that "ps3 game download" site;). Run all your games this way straight from the XMB without the need for additional steps like the annoying prepNTFS step;). No fuss, no muss.

the prep ntfs step has to be done once
no need to run it everytime

I prefer the ISO method
but to each their own

You guys were a great help thank you ! I've been doing so much research on how to unpack/extract every different kind of torrent and the different formats I was completely stuck when the main game I actually wanted ( lbp 3 ! ) was only found in ISO lol the ps3 tools I found by rooting through the comments but it was horribly vague.

I'm definitely gonna go with the fat32 method since all the other games I'll be downloading most likely will be game folder format so I don't want to switch between two HDD's to play different game.. so I just transfer the PS3_GAME folder into the GAMES folder and that's it ? I figured it'd be a bit more complicated than that haha, I'll be using Multiman aye !

I appreciate this a lot guys! My ps3 Will be ready today so I'm going to be unpacking all these games and crap all day and this is the first one I'm doing since I figured it'd be the most difficult... but apparently not :') stress for nothing !

If I start having trouble with the game folder method i guess i'll just use the tools to make them all iso's and try your other guys' way !

I hope it all works out smoothly, with my luck it won't though so I'll try my best to figure it out on my own before updating on this post lol

OH - one more question, a lot of the tutorials the guys' say to put this BLUS#### thing infront of the name of the game for Multiman to find it ? is this true ? and where do i find that code ? It wasn't a folder or file name of anything inside my unpacked ISO so i was a bit confused about that.. or is it just an old bug that's fixerd ? cheers

Just remember that fat 32 has a 4gb file size limit. This is why I prefer ntfs

Yeah but PS3 folder is more annoying than NTFS. NTFS is the best and less annoying. A PS3 folders is not good because some games are more than 4GB and Fat32 require you to split it and it is annoying too. NTFS doesnt have a problem. I prefer prepNTFS... and loved it.

FAT32 can't have 1 specific file above 4 gbs. Yes NTFS is better imo, but I've always used Fat32 on my old ps3. Never had any issues moving ps3 game folders over because it's not one file. Unlike the ISO's. I remember eventually switching to NTFS because I started to use pkgs of games and splitting those were awful....

No problem, you guys can close this thread. I'm not gonna mess around with ntfs when I literally have been looking up fat32 stuff all week. I'm gonna use the tools to split the game folders into iso 's and use multiman. Wish me luck! There's no point in me trying something after I put so much effort in a different method, I'll save this thread though if I end up failing and need to try the other method . Thanks again for everything!

The way I understand it, you don't have to worry about splitting games because the games are in extracted format.

Wouldn't that be the other way around? (Extracting ISOs into game folders)
