The console won't show an icon on the homescreen when NTRBootHaX is flashed on to it. I assume you didn't restore it if you didn't successfully install CFW. If that's the case, your card is fine it's just flashed already so it's not going to work "normally" and it will seem like the console isn't reading it due to lack of icon; that's because of the hax installed on the card.

You just need to try and install it again.....Assuming it really didn't work. Speaking of which, why didn't it work? That would help because perhaps you're doing something wrong, or like so many others you installed it already and don't realize it.

Well is it an original 2DS? Or is it a NEW 2DS that just came out? The original one doesn't need the magnet, it has a switch to enable sleep mode. The NEW 2DS works just like a 3DS would.

It's the original

  1. Locate the switch labeled "SLEEP" on the bottom right of the system.
  2. Press the switch all the way to the right. You should see an orange color show up when the switch is pressed all the way to the right.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

  1. Power off your device
  2. Insert your flashcart into your device
  3. On old 2DS, you should enable the sleep mode switch
  4. Hold (Power) + (Start) + (Select) + (X) for several seconds, then release the buttons

All I can say is double check your files, make sure they are on the 2DS' SD and not the Flashcards..... Try taking the flashcard out and putting it in again, etc.

If these don't work is there a way to just restart and do it over again by installing ntrboot or no

If you haven't reflashed your flashcard back to stock, it still should be in NTRBoot mode. Just make sure you have all files on SD and try putting thin piece of paper under your flashcard. Sometimes there is not good contact.

insert your flashcart into your console and power it on. If the flashcart shows on the home menu in the game cart slot, it means it isn't flashed.
Well everytime i enter my flash card into the consle it dosen't pop up but than when i do the power start selected and x it dosen't turn on or when it dose it dosen't give me the bootstrap but i have all the files i need

Yes the microsd is in cause i injected the ntrboothack

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

So, it's already flashed. The microsd is in the console and not in the flashcart, correct?
So i have the flashcard flashed cause it not showing up in the home menu and i have the files for the mirocsd i tried the hold power start selected and x but everytime i do that either nothing will happen or it will turn on but will not give me what i want

Yes it have the files that i need i can even show you the picture if you like

Please, I'm not talking about the files. I'm talking about the physical micro SD card. Did you insert the physical micro sd card into the 2ds or did you insert it into the flashcart?

Judging from what you keep saying, it sounds like it's in the flashcart. If it is, take the physical micro sd card out and put it into the sd slot of the 2ds.
(if anyone can explain this better, be my guest.)

@Psionic Roshambo i didn't go amd for one specific reason, the AI performance is way behind nvidia

    i just got a 4070ti
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
oh yeah also DLSS is a pretty solid reason to go nvidia since fidelityfx is kinda crap
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and now with the rtx video upscaling, and sdr->hdr conversion, even more reason to go nvidia
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
both of which work well in potplayer
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
amd is a bit cheaper though
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Cheaper and they are less stingy with the RAM not a big issue now but I can imagine in a yard or two things might be different
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Year not yard lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Interesting lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
