I keep hitting portals like right in the middle of the path so they're kind of hard to avoid :(

I did that for a while now I got pretty good at it, I turn off the sound from 3DS and listen to something else to help consenteate.

Just try and hit as many rings from the start as you can and gab the occasional ones later on that you can while avoiding the bad purple balls.

If you get too slow try entering a double ring at least instead of a single ring to increase chances of a legendary

Do legends ONLY appear in clovers or what? I keep going into the ones with double rings and just get "okay" pokes like Altaria.....

Or at least how far away are they? I'm like 5,000 light years and find Stunkfish... :( Lol
Legends can appear in ALL wormholes except for white ones (UBs), but clover ones just happen to be a guaranteed legend, for the others, it's random! Also, higher rarity (rings), can get you better chances for legends from what I've seen and higher chances for shiny mons for regular ones... Usually they are around 2000-2500 from what I've seen, but I found Lugia at 1670 and Kyogre at 3640...

The faster you go, the easier it is to not get drawn in the portals. If you are fast enough you can pass right through the outer part (where the rings are), without getting sucked in.

Na avoid the middle, stick to the edges once you get going really fast
Moving to the far side cuts your speed in case you didn't notice, so it actually makes things harder. Stick to the middle and only move to sides temporarily to get speed rings or avoid stuff, then center yourself with A or just move back to center.

Thanks for the extra tips! Do you know the chance of finding a legend in like a tier 3 wormhole (The one with double glowy rings) by chance? I'd imagine it's low but good to know I can find them in those too. Sometimes I just don't get set up for success in the beginning with the orbs Lol.

can someone send a screenshot of a clover wormhole (for people that have ntr)? I can't figure out what I'm supposed to look for.

Only tier 3 one I've entered was a shiny Yamnega. Then, Tier 2 was Latias, Medicham and Audino. Tier 1 was Lombre twice. Finally, Tier 4 was another shiny (can't remember what species, it was days ago)... I'd assume that each ring adds like 10% more chance for legendaries while no rings have around 10%. That's a guess though, only certainty is that clover ones are guaranteed legends and white are UBs... As for the start, I often miss some rings and end up regretting it since around 3000 light years there are hardly any rings for speed for a good while, just traps and I get sucked in holes! Furthest I've managed to go has been 5100ly which was the tier 4 one I mentioned.

PS: I should mention that it's possible to find tier 4 without clover, but very rare... (only found one)

Oh wow thanks I didn't know that's what they meant by clover xD.. I thought that was just a tier 4 or something
Yeah it's a little confusing anyway when you're going so damn fast Lol...

Here's the pic again outside of a spoiler JIC

So if I want a shiny Mewtwo I have to reset BEFORE going into the wormhole, or before the battle? If it's the former, that's going to be a bitch because how the hell am I supposed to know if I'll even run into Mewtwo again and not another Legend inside a green warphole?

Also I've found some legends that haven't been in clovers. So far I've found Palkia, Regigigas, and now a Latias without actually getting to a clover portal

As soon as you go into the wormhole from ultra space, the Pokemon is already determined so I guess save before going into ultra space but there isn't any guarantee that you'll see that same legendary the second time around.

Yeah so fuck that Lol..... I was gonna try but if that's how it is then I shan't....

That's what I said when reading from other comments and then confirming it for myself. Hopefully some genius will find a way for us to exploit the chances of shiny Legends.

So I was wondering if anyone wants to test the map coordinates for Legendaries to see if we can force encounter them to reset....
I just encountered Zapdos and used PKHEX to find the map location, it's:
Zapdos
Map: 256
X: 1371.00000
Z: 3502.00000
Y: 0000.00000
R: 0.00000

Obviously backup the save first, but if it works we can collect them.

If either of you had read the older posts you would know that shininess is determined when you enter the area for NON-legendaries and for legendaries/UBs when the battle starts.

What are you trying to do exactly? If you are trying to make them reappear after you capture them, just change the flag in PKHeX for the legendary you want.
