Hello

I have n3DSXL but for some reason the L trigger stopped workiing suddenly, overnight.

So I was wondering if there's any way to use the ZL trigger (that I basically never use) as L ?

Sorry if the question is pretty dumb, I've been out of the scene for a while.

Cheers

Maybe this is not the answer for your question but..
For some reason it helped me many times to blow into the buttons. Especially the 3dsxl seems to be affected by this problem. You could try to blow into the buttons, just like into cartridges earlier.

If this wont help, sorry :D

Maybe the switch for button L got disconnected. I would open up the system. Tear down to get to the shoulder buttons is easy. Unplug the switch then re-seat it. May work. You'll have an opportunity to clean out everything too. There is MANY tear down tutorials. Search for it!

I'd try that, but I can't find any tutorial for tearing it down.
Happen to know where I can find one ?

This won‘t work because the ribbon cable for L and ZL are the same. If It would be disconnected, ZL would be affected too.

It's worth a shot. If something is dirty, he can clean it. Use lots of canned air. Maybe 1 tiny hair is stuck in the switch. Happens. It's totally possible re-seating the connection could fix it, L +ZL share a cable but not pins on the connection. If there is a short he has an opportunity to swap out a part. The parts aren't too expensive to fix 1 button. $10 USD. OP, what happened before it stopped working? Was it dropped? I assume it's a hardware issue unless you go messing around in the NAND in Godmode and delete random things or something? LOL
