Ever since I swapped up on my micro SD card (I had to go from a 64GB to a 128GB cuz I ran out of room...), I've been running into 2 strange errors. It's almost as if certain aspects in the system aren't being properly saved/read.

1 - Every time I boot up my system, the home menu theme doesn't load. However, if press the power button and go to the shutdown screen (where it tells you that the game has been shutdown), then press home, the theme properly loads.
2 - Illegitimate DLC I've downloaded for legitimately purchased games seems to get forgotten. Two examples are Smash and Blaster Master Zero. In Smash, I hadn't purchased Bayonetta and Lucas (cuz screw them) as well as several stages. So I deleted the DLC, downloaded the full DLC, and that worked just fine... yesterday. Boot up the system today and it's gone again. Same thing with BMZ. I didn't purchase Ekoro and Shovel Knight, and... well, same story. Delete, download, showed up yesterday, not today. The strange part is that it's ONLY forgetting DLC I haven't purchased.

I'm inclined to believe that the two issues are related as 1) they started when I swapped the SD cards (and to head you off, there's no lock on the card as it's a micro SD) and 2) they both indicate that some information isn't being saved/read properly. Any assistance on the matter would be welcome.

Did you buy a reputable brands 128gb micro sd card?
Uhhhhh, I'm gonna say yes. I believe it's a Patriot card; my brother had purchased it specifically to use in a DSLR, so speed and quality were important. I can't check to be certain as I'm at work and don't have my screw driver to open the back of the system.

Apply the default theme, then reinstall your custom theme with Anemone.

The MINT applet and the eShop is known to delete DLC. I don't know if you've used these, but try to avoid them as much as possible.

I'm using one of the Nintendo themes; one of the BOTW ones. So peaceful...

That... might do it. I perused the eShop to see what games I had on my wishlist. I'll redownload the DLC and stay away from the eShop. Hopefully that solves that problem.
I would honestly back everything up to the PC and format the microSD and then try again. Another thing might be that you are missing the tickets for the certain games and DLC and that's why they don't show up on the menu. I would try running
the ticket restore homebrew ( https://github.com/DanTheMan827/tikShop/releases ) and seeing if that fixes it.
I legit just formatted it 2 days ago; it was exFAT so I had to make it FAT32. I'm also hesitant to do that whole process cuz it just takes SO MUCH TIME, what with almost 90GB of games on the card. Still, if nothing solves the issue, I'll give it a go.

Just to be thorough, I updated the DLC for Smash and then opened the eShop and, sure enough, the Bayonetta DLC had disappeared again. That solves that issue; I'll just have to stay away from the eShop or remember to re-download DLC when I actually buy a game (gotta support my favorite devs!). That still leaves me with the issue with the themes not loading, though...

I'm gonna use my old thread instead of making a new one, but I think I figured out the issue with themes. When exploring my sd card, I discovered that, in the 'Nintendo 3DS' folder, I have 2 of those 32-digit encrypted folders. One seems to have all the normal stuff; backup, dbs, extdata, title. The other, however, just has extdata. As I understand it, home menu stuff is stored in the extdata folder within the Nintendo 3DS folder, so I'm assuming that it's loading the extdata from that folder first then picking the second one up after I press the power button and hit home. Now, I'm wary of bricking my unit, so should I attempt deleting this other folder? Of course, I'd make a backup of it just in case something vital is in it, but it's the only lead I've got at this time.
