My roommate has an o3DS XL on 11.2. I offered to install B9S and Luma, but am having difficulty getting Soundhax to function (those many tries were annoying).

Being impatient and having a copy of OoT, I decided to install OoThax since it was always more consistent with me. However, trying to run it just causes an exception (unexpected instruction I believe).

I tried updating my homebrew by getting the starter kit again, I tried getting the proper otherapp payload just in case and putting it in my root.

My 3ds is a N3DS XL running latest B9S/Luma on 11.6, and I'm accessing HBL via the .cia

Edit: To clarify my issue is with the installer, not the exploit itself. I'm not getting fatal exceptions from within OoT

You can't use *hax payloads on a b9s system nor can you use the installer on a firmware that's higher than 11.0, iirc.
The latter can't be 100% accurate as I have used my 3DS on as late as 11.3 to install OotHax for others.

Well there appear to be 2 hax save slots, but neither one is working. I get the forced restart after being kicked. I trigger by checking Link's bed.

Thanks. Remember I need it for 03ds 11.2 USA

if this doesnt work like this, says its corrupt etc, i'm not sure since i have a EU system,

make a copy of your existing OoT, and copy the slot2 file into that and re-inject that

edit: the ones before were my old EU ones

slot1 is nEU in this, and slot3 is oUS

Ok, I didn't get your message to ignore it. Let me try the second one now

Just in case I can't get this to work, any other consistent methods to get to HBL on 11.2?

edit: no he doesnt

edit2: just checked on my system, hidden extensions still show .bin for .bin files, so that may not the be problem,
