Difficulty telling left from right.

i took years to learn L1 L2 and R1 R2 in ps2, and now with xbox i still didn't remember -_-

Left right discrimination is a complex neuro-psychological process.
You can just expect for those "methods" to help you remember.

It's the same as expecting an newborn to walk.

True but most babies will walk by the age of 2. Like most people will be able to tell left from right by age 12 or so maybe. If you're 40 and you can't tell left from right then something odd is going on.

You can't force a left handed person to be right handed ;p
You could train them, but their brain is just hardwired to have one dominant hand.
Same goes for your dominant leg.

I own a ps4 and have played the playstation on and off since the original (not religiously) but I still have to look to see which button is square and circle. I've got x and triangle down pat though.
