Things to remember:
Wii U is out of production
Wii U has all the 1st-party titles it will get (RIP)
Wii U will cease online gaming eventually, sooner than Switch
Wii U can emulate a lot more than Switch and you can play those backups while Switch gets releases
You can buy accessories cheaper
You can buy a refurb Wii U from Nintendo for $200.00
Switch won't have what you want for some time, depending on what you want

The wii u probably would have been about only $100 to $150 used instead of $200 to $250 if that tablet controller didn't cost $100 by itself.

This is the sensible thing to do!

Yeah.

I know it's not always possible for others to own more than one console, especially if it's new on the market, yet I mention it all the time.

I remember the early PSP days when 1.00/1.50 were the golden fw and people got upset when they updated past it.

Yea.... Its called multi platform titles. In order for something to be a remake and not a port, they need to change something, like the extra characters and battle stuff in MK8D. Most of what you listed are not remakes. Are you really mad that a Nintendo console is FINALLY starting to get games that every other console does? I'm sure as hell not.

That being said, I agree that the Switch's library is lacking original content still. I expected much more.

I dont classify 3$ indie crap as games mate.

Also I understand the concept of a remake but I decided to list games that were previously released on WiiU since the OP is trying to decide between two. Hence some multiplatform games.

Wii U, no doubt
The amount of shit you can play COMPLETELY WITHOUT PAYING (except for 6.99 for a DS VC game) is insane.
Wii U games, VC games (doesn't really count though), Wii games, GC games.
Also free online
Save editing
Flappy Bird? (It's in the HB App Store)
Way more controller options which are much cheaper than the Switch controllers
An option for using external storage that connects through USB which right now have much more options than SD cards and you get more storage at the same price of less on SD

I think it's the perfect Nintendo experience right now.

Also ppl are reporting problems with the Switch and for that few games, even if you choose to buy a Switch, I'll recommend waiting until it gets stable and have enough games.

Why is it greedy? You take your time and effort to find the exploit. It's your choice
Profiteering is greedy by definition. Don't profit, your not greedy. Share with the community, make your own expenditure back, etc awesome, but try to sway more that somethings worth or your output value and your then profiteering and rightfully labeled greedy.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Its not hard to grasp.... one man grows tomatoes the other potatoes. If it takes the same input to deliver 3 tomatoes as it does 5 potatoes, then that is the trade. Any wanting more, may well get it but it is being greedy and profiteering. Profiteering ruins real trading and builds disparity.

Do you have a job (or plan to get one), or do you intend to leech off of others for the rest of your life? Profiting isn't the same things as profiteering. Profiteering is like raising the price of malaria pills as soon as there is a malaria outbreak.

If it's selfish to sell an exploit, then it's selfish of you to not spend your time finding one.

You will get some similar games in swich and more. I have wiiu and it's not worth it since it lacks of games. Hopefully the switch will be much better. I still hate the fact they are focusing with more family friendly image and western pandering with their games and upcoming monolith soft games art like having fully clothed armor. Anyway the switch will have better future for sure so wait for that.

If you want homebrew on the go buy a New 3DS.

If you want homebrew on TV then buy a WiiU.

If you want homebrew on Switch remember that:
A. There isn't any yet.
B. The entry point is on a very low FW that can't play any games yet to be released.
C. Absolutley nobody knows if you ever will be able to play recent games on a hacked Switch, it uses Efuses as a FW check so there won't likely be any golden a9lh hack for possibly years if ever.
D. A Switch for hacking means keeping on 3.0.0 for an indefinite time untill either FW spoofing or recent FW exploit releases, both could take either years or never happen, waiting is the only option.

I agree with most of that but my own opinion for homebrew on the TV would be a playstation TV.

Maybe, I wasn't including Vita/TV to keep Nintendo options only, plus they are also FW locked at 3.60 where the WiiiU is hacked on most recent FW and I don't think you can emulate GC on PSTV which for me is a seller.

WiiU can play GameCube, Wii and WiiU titles VS PSTV playing PS1, PSP and Vita. It's a tough call, GC wins it for me personally but I can understand someone preferring the Sony offering. (for on the go homebrew Vita wins for me, Vita+PSP>DS+3DS backups)

I hacked mine, installed 500gb games for fun but haven't really played any. It's nice to have for later though.

wii u is not as powerful as the switch is, so you wont have acces to powerful emulator like ps2/xbox
however, the scene is very large so you will have more support and more tools for homebrew, emulator and piracy
Also, so far, wii u is hackable on all firmware (or at least all recent firmware), so by buying it now, you wont risk to have a wii u with an unhackable firmware
