As was stated in the first post on this thread, the method is unreliable. one can get lucky and have it work immediately, or one could try over 100 times to get it to work.

which SPECIFICALLY states to clear the save browser data... but you've now stated that you didn't do this twice!??? W T F :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: - so which is it... because it can't be both!! - you either followed the isntructions to the letter or you didn't.. (I think we know the answer no need to reply)...
 
What's up. Just phoning in with some pretty nice updates...

A new update came to the upstream repo, which has been merged into http://stupiid.ovh/. This update improves consistency tremendously. By going in to http://stupiid.ovh/ and choosing delta 4 I've had success 8 times in a row after I put the update up. I would like more people to test this (as well as different deltas) and let me know what the results are. I eagerly await the public feedback on this exciting new update!

According to JmpCallPoo on Discord, this should now have 50% (!) reliability.
 
i have loaded homebrew a few times v1.3 and v1.4 but it is just bubbles and the version in the corner? what am i missing please?

Yep! That's a good sign, that means the exploit worked but it got stuck while trying to load the HBL

You don't have any apps in your sdcard. They need to be in /wiiu/apps/

Thank you so much, friend. It didn't work first go, but it worked after a few tries. I tried both http://u.drg.li/ and http://cg.stupiid.ovh/, and the first link worked. I used the big Exploit button on my 5.5.2U Wii U and got Haxchii installed. Many thanks, you fixed my serious mistake I made by both letting my Wii U update to 5.5.2 and not installing Haxchii. I made this account primarily to thank the OP and whoever is responsible. GG/G

Which folder do I paste the files from the exploit?

Stop. You paste the exploit files in your webroot, but if you don't know what that is you should just use a public gateway like http://stupiid.ovh/

Do not repeat the same question in a thread like this while quoting other users. It's really annoying.

Okay, just updated the cg gateway to the new exploit.

To review, current best gateways are these:
http://stupiid.ovh/ - main gateway, same as http://u.drg.li/
http://nude.stupiid.ovh/ - above but without Cloudflare. This is also reliable but probably not any more reliable than the above except in a very select circumstance
http://eur.stupiid.ovh/ - European mirror, this might give EUR users a little more luck for better latency.
http://cg.stupiid.ovh/ - cg method, may be more reliable in some cases than any of the above.
(waiting on @Create_ to get back to me regarding sleepii)

Honestly I think things are starting to get stable enough that it no longer warrants so many different domain configurations, but hey, more options is always good. Any increased chance of stability is worth keeping around. Have fun attempting to get to Homebrew.

(P.S. I got into Homebrew 23/25 times with http://stupiid.ovh/ using the 4 and 0 deltas.)

Excited to see a truly watertight and reliable browser hack. Maybe then Nintendo will just forget about patching homebrew for a console they have long since abandoned. Either way, there is little excuse for people to just cough up 7 bucks and run Haxchi. I've learned my lesson for future Wii U hacking.

As my programming skills improve, I may look into Wii/Wii U homebrew. It's honestly the easiest to perform, and most fleshed out homebrew world. The only exception is maybe the Dreamcast, just because of all the original titles available over there.

Wii is the most mature I would say, Wii U is behind 3DS though.

I do agree, but they can somewhat be lumped into the same category, as most Wii homebrew will work on vWii.

Maybe it's time for a good SRB2 port onto the Wii U. The one on the Wii was very half baked, and it's honestly a great game. I might look into it.

Just got back to you on Sleepii. It's running the update now, along with minimal optimizations such as some links being removed, and just general stability. It's worked 80% of the time (from what I've seen). Happy hacking! http://sleepii.ovh

I don't think less than 1 KB of HTML is going to make a big difference for many users. As I said, my success rate has been insanely high with everything lately, so I doubt it's even a problem. Thanks for your help through all this.
