@QuarkTheAwesome There seems to be a solution for the Genesis Plus core crashing on Github :P
Just reading through those comments too and it looks like @aliaspider has left the project!??

Thats a big blow. :( there goes overlays and shaders..
I hope hes just taking a break...
Just out of curiosity. Is there a story behind this?

Either way good news if that bug is squashed. Just that loader bug left ;)

Don't know, just going off what Twinaphex stated, I know, I mean, granted, things will move on, but in a different direction. There's no reason stated as to why he left, but that's likely an internal matter. But yeah,
no shaders or overlays, so either he needs to either update the OP or someone needs to take the project over with his blessing.

I'd like if someone can get edit rights on OP to be able to make some edits.

Especially like showing about newer things. Like maybe a link for the channel install, how to setup for assets folder, always deleting a configuration file on new builds. Etc..

Was testing Super Turrican in SNES9X and the music sound like it was compressed, though it could be a problem with the SNES or the game itself then I tested a SNES injection and it sound pretty clean. Official Nintendo emulation gets alot of hate on internet but in this case the VC emulator is leagues more accurated sound wise at least.

You might be right. I can't say because I don't even notice mainly because I rarely even have volume on when I play. Usually watching TV too or music on. Lol

I'll have a quick look at some of the suggestions made when I get a chance, though I'm fairly sure the .bss does indeed get cleared... Will have to investigate.

Also tagging @Cyan since it's been confirmed that OP has left and we need to give someone edit permission.

Which Snes9x core are you using? 2005? 2010? Mainline? Mainline uses Snes9x 1.55, that uses Blargg's/Byuu's S-SMP emulator core, which is 1:1 cycle accurate. Snes VC on the Wii U uses Anomie's S-SMP core, which is a close second. This has been confirmed by Byuu himself *shrug*. The Snes Wii U VC can't even emulate Earthworm Jim 2 properly (lots of missing sound effects when injected). I tested Chrono Trigger as well in Snes VC injects, some sounds are off, but Snes9x gets it perfectly.

Wait what the hell happened?
What did I miss?!

I was too hyped due to the release of Empire Strikes Back Revisited that I went out of the loop for a while here

Aliaspider has abandoned/ left the project, Twinaphex and a few other have taken over. Genesis Plus core has a fix that needs implementing as stated on GitHub. Dynarec and the framework will happen without him, so the show must go on. The OP has to be updated, etc to reflect further changes. So, as to what will happen, who knows, either way, Alias has jumped ship for whatever reason.

What is the current issue with GenPlus?
Sad to hear about alias departure, both 3DS and Wii U will take a big blow, hope he pursues what he wanted and it goes well for him.

Then again, maybe this will push new devs to continue on with both 3DS/Wii U ports, one never knows

The DSI exception people got with the Ogg issue, surely you saw those images posted a couple days ago? There was a glaring issue in how things were in the code, but yeah, who knows what's going to happen.

I assume those issues happened when switching roms consecutively, since I did only once switch from TyrQuake to GenPlus today via playlists and got it to boot fine, but again, it was just a quick test, nothing fancy nor indepth
