It's already been shown that you can update sdnand without updating nand. It functions just like nand does.

I don't have my DSi's with me right now, but does the leaked Flipnote exploit work on 1.4.5? Was never really made clear to me because of the short life of the thread .

If so, am I able to run FWTool from it to downgrade the necessary titles to their <=1.4 counterparts?

i have been able to run fwtool on my dsi 1.4.5u and dump the nand. I have not downgraded, but i am pretty sure it would work.

You can test your nand.bin on no$gba before flash it into your dsi, be sure to encrypt it after you finish.

Yes, I think I saw your thread. May I ask if you've figured out why the system bricked (missed step, etc), so I can avoid it myself?

I wouldn't play with something leaked like this. Leaked photos of famous people does not hurts anybody (except themselves), but leaked exploit could brick your DSi, if developers haven't released it yet, is because is not finished.

It literally does nothing to the nand. Unless the developer themself says that it can brick the DSi, it's perfectly safe.

that is why i haven't downgraded yet. just dumped the nand and explored it, never restored.
