Looks real to me, if this is fake then he's really good at timing the presses. He even makes mistakes when tapping like tapping off-center and missing the button.

Source?
There was literally a post where apparently the creator exposed it as fake, but for some reason the staff deleted it.
twitter.com/CreaTion_DG
So maybe it could be real or fake.

My bad, I don't follow the Wii U as tightly as I do the 3DS scene. Easy mistake on my end and I shall make my leave until something happens.
I understand the confusion though, he was also using the Crunchyroll app.
But this looks far more legit than that ever did.
There's a video a bit further down on the twitter and he didn't even tap anything on the home menu to make it look real.

FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE
hey guys, guess what, it's fake! another attention seeking retard! I HAVE A FRIEND NOW.
but actually, here's some proof.

when loading it his gamepad suddenly gets uglier, so yeah, two different gamepads.

also his shitty response to his highness (quark)s comment.
heres what the furry said

his highness said:
Interesting video! It leaves me with a few thoughts, though... - You've done an awful lot of work in a short period of time. The ROP required to make this function is no small feat - even people like yellows8 have historically avoided doing this sort of work. How did you manage to do complete ROP while yours truly is still struggling to get a controlled branch? - Speaking of controlled branches, the big sticking point for me is the instability of the whole thing - same thing twice gives different results, y'know? I've only been getting branches at most 1/10 of the time, but you implied that your exploit is more or less stable; with only occasional crashes. Considering the heap layout that crunchyroll runs under and the location tx3g drops you in, I find this extremely hard to believe. How have you been semi-reliably getting code exec in the first place? - I read some of the other comments, and you've mentioned a brick risk. *This is patently false*, since there's nothing the PowerPC can do to brick a system like this. The IOSU sandboxes each application, not allowing any of them to have direct access to things like the NAND, which would be the only route to a brick. Your explanation of the brick itself also seems shaky - when that Wii U logo appears in the bottom-right, the Wii U is switching foreground applications to Mii Maker and exiting Crunchyroll. You should know this, since your ROP should have called the conspicuously-named "_Exit" to make this switch. Why, then, do you claim that Crunchyroll is still running when you exit homebrew? - I'm harping on this, but it's your weakest point. Crunchyroll is completely sandboxed by the IOSU and cannot affect anything other than itself. "Its ability to play ads" is handled entirely by stuff inside the app's /code folder which isn't touched anywhere else in the system. There's simply no way in hell you could have bricked.
and heres what the dumb dumb fakey fakey man said (showing an utter lack of competence and only responding to the bricking part, the only part he could leave up to mystery)
living in his moms basement said:
Ash my point is I have no idea why or how I bricked. It just doesn’t make any sense to me either. Because restarting the wii u console should fix the problem. I’ve managed to get into homebrew a few times but I’m running into crucial issues that really shouldn’t be happening. At this point I’ve managed to install haxchi on 5.5.2 with my exploit, but I literally have no idea how to explain these bugs. I’ll make a video showing what happens, but I can’t force it so I’ll just continuously record attempting my exploit. Either way, I’m sure it’s your time to shine because I know that you will find an exploit better than mine. I just hope you don’t run into the same problems as me! Thanks for being such a help in the wii u hacking community!
so yeah, to all you plebs on 5.5.2, keep waitin. have a great day!
