Hacking Could a flashed X360 drive act as a Xexmenu loader?

This idea popped into my head... If i were to flash my 250gb Non glossy "slim" drive, could i burn an xexmenu iso, put it into my 360, run xex and run a iso from a harddrive?
Also, what's the deal with dual layer dvd's? I have alot of single layer's i use for the og xbox and my ps2, I know some games are huge and so on but people say to NEVER EVER use a single layer dvd cause the 360 can't read it or something.

Flashing is like a softmod tho. (meaning you don't have to solder anything. I know you have to take the xbox apart to flash a drive which makes it a hardmod)

That's highly dependable on the drive.
Some drives can be flashed with software only and some need a bit of soldering and or drilling (this used to be different back in the MRA days).

Anyway, Matte black Slim drives are tricky as some can't be flashed at all.

It's the Lite-on drive and the xbox might've been purchased in late 2011/late 2012. Idk as i got it used off of the swedish version of craigslist.

Anyway, as I said, you can flash it with software only (older drives from the Phat, Sammy, BenQ and Hitachi) if you download Jungleflasher.
Jungleflasher comes with a manual on how to flash drives.

Oh, that's what you mean by softmod. What i think off is like putting a usb in the port and press ok.

Spoiler: Pretty much like the OG xbox.

You had to make a female usb to xbox controller adapter, put some files on a usb, boot up splintercell, load the pre-hacked savefile and you're off.

Idk who said it recently here on the Switch forum.. but due to ASLR and other advancements in software security, it's pretty much a guesswork of where you can put your payload.

Everything in RAM is checked by the 360 and the Hypervisor will just reject any arbitrary code.
In fact, the RGH and JTAG rely on a old bootloader to boot unsigned code, that bootloader was coded in 2006, since then, there hasn't been any software based vulnerability for the 360.
If something like that ever gets released, MS would just quickly patch it anyway by pushing out a new update and blowing fuses.
Which in on it self is kinda moot to release it as the RGH can be applied regardless of what state the eFuses are in.

So in reality, if you want unsigned code aka pirated DLC/XBLA and non-existent homebrew/emu's, you'll be stuck with the RGH really, softmodding the 360 to run unsigned code just won't happen.

I think we already have ruled everything out of the question. Now to an offtopic question.
Some guy gave away a xbox account with 4 free games, i got it, downloaded the games, got curious, checked the recent bought games and nothing was there. Did he somehow "hack" the Game on demand games?

Also, his account is the only one that can download those games, your "recently downloaded games" won't display his games.

I haven't licence transfered yet. A new attempt unlocks in december.

If it's between two people then hardly anything goes wrong.
I meself have also transfered licenses of me account with me boyfriend his 360 and me brother his 360.

However public sharing is what MS strictly monitors.

Well, it would give free games if you don't count dvd's. [Excluding odde]

Depending on your 360, you might even need it RGH'd in order to dump the keys.
Best thing to do is to send it to a modshop.
Or trade it for a Phatty from '09

Xkey's aren't cheap.
They roughly cost around 80 quid.
