Hacking A Few B9S questions and such...?

So, I'm a bit late to the scene as always. I just upgraded my USA New 3DS XL from A9LH to B9S, which is now running on the latest (11.5) firmware. I have a few questions:

1.)What is the advantage to B9S over A9LH right now?
I know that Luma updates will begin to only support B9S from here on, but is there truly any reason why B9S is better than A9LH for regular users (other than dev features like bootrom dumping, OTP, etc.)

2.)How can I upgrade to a larger SD card?
With A9LH, it was as simple as dragging everything from the old SD card, including arm9loaderhax.bin, to the new one. Does this change with B9S and if so, how can I upgrade to a larger SD card?

3.)Online games?
A kind of unrelated question, but I have not played online with my 3DS. Ever. I am currently NOT banned, as I checked by going to my friendlist. I have never used any online feature of any game or stock application except for the eShop and web browser. So, I have now taken precautions to prevent getting banned (such as turning off the features of SpotPass, and disabling features on my friendlist, as 3ds.guide instructs). Is it now safe to play online games, provided that I don't cheat? Is there any way Nintendo can check whether someone is using a pirated CIA or running CFW?

I have been on version 11.2 for a very long time, and I only updated my 3DS yesterday.

For regular users who only use Luma3DS 7.0.5, there's no real advantage of B9S over A9LH. If you care about using newer versions of Luma3DS, other payloads, etc., then updating to B9S is required.

That has not changed with B9S. If you want to switch to a new SD card, and you're not using emuNAND, you can just copy everything to the new SD card.

The May 2017 banwave was apparently triggered by the detection of illegitimate titles. To minimize that risk of being banned, one should do the following:

There have been reports of a wave of bans being handed out to CFW users by Nintendo. To protect yourself, please do the following steps before starting this guide:

1. Go to System Settings, then “Internet Settings”, then “SpotPass”, then “Sending of System Information”
2. Disable the “Sending of System Information” option
3. Exit the System Settings
4. Go to your Friend’s List (the Face Icon in the top row of your Home Menu)
   • If you receive an error and are kicked out of the menu, the Friend’s List setting is already disabled
5. Go to the Friend’s List settings, then “Friend Notification Settings”, then “Show friends what you’re playing”
6. Disable the “Show friends what you’re playing” option
7. Exit your Friend’s List

Thanks for the info. One more thing. Is there any way to check the region of a CIA after it's installed? I have a few CIA's that I'm not sure if I downloaded the USA version or the E version.

You can open FBI, go into your list of installed titles, and hover over a game to view its region. As far as I'm aware, nobody has been banned from playing online with an out-of-region game. Somebody correct me if I'm mistaken. I have heard of people receiving error codes when they try playing certain out-of-region games online though.

You're correct. Nobody has gotten banned for out-of-region, as it doesn't detect the console region once you're in the game AFAIK

To make my previous point clear, I listed playing out-of-region games online as a ban risk because Nintendo could conceivably detect that as evidence of CFW-usage. Even though it's never happened, it's a risk.
