afaik the hatari core needs sdl ported to the wiiu you cant just build it unfortunely from what people said.

heu what ? I've started years ago the libretro port removing all SDL dependencies so the libretro port build without SDL library ...

BTW ATM I'm playing rick dangerous (ST version) on my wiiu .

I may cry.... THANK YOU. Looks like the WiiU port is starting to pick up again.

does keyboard work like a keyboard? or like dosbox you turn keyboard into a hid gamepad with only mapping very few buttons?

to be clear I'am not working on the retroarch side only on the libretro core side.
so the core only had the features that retroarch bring to it.

but there is a very basic onscreen keyboard builtin this core (very bad but it help to hit some keys when needed)

Tried a good few Atari St games and Hatari WiiU is running them all pretty much perfectly. We just need an Atari Jaguar emu now then we will have all Atari systems running on wiiu. Well not including whatever Atari's new mystery machine is lol.

AFAIK only PicoDrive core can emulate 32X. There's been a discussion long ago about porting the core to other systems (Wii, PS3...) but I believe the authors didn't have time for that.

To be honest, 32X emulation in PicoDrive leaves a lot to be desired. While some games run OK, some games glitch horribly. While porting PicoDrive to Wii U would be good for some games it is capable of running properly, 32X in general needs a better emulator.

we already had atari jaguar compiled on wiiu it runned games at like 10 fps so umplayable sadly.
