Is the Krusty Krab unfair?

Have a 4.3U wii with homebrew channel and wiiflow working. However WiiFlow tries to load fame in disc drive insteadnod the one selected from hard drice. How do I fix this?

I suspect it may be an issue with my IOS which is 58 v24.32

really odd. a game in the disc drive should only play if you click on the disc icon on the main screen. try this - open wiiflow.ini in a text editor preferably notepad++. look under [DEBUG] and set sd_write_log = yes.

now run wiiflow and do what you usually do to launch the game. when done look on your sd card you should find the file wiiflow.log. paste the results on here or upload the file and provide the link so i can look at it. also you can set sd_write_log back to = no.

I changed sd_write_log=yes (from no) and it didn't give me a log file back. I could take a video of what happens but I doubt it would help much.

Why not update it? (The hack I mean). Try using ModMii, which will get you all ready to start hacking/hack-updating your Wii.

Here's a thread:

Definitely a consideration. Think it would help fledge68? I'm wondering if the game I'm trying to run is too new and is screwing up due to that (Metroid Prime Trilogy).

do you use an SD card? obviously if you don't you won't get it. also did you look on the root of your SD card? it won't be in any folder. hard to believe it wouldn't make that file. how old is your wiiflow - what version is it?

WiiFlow v4.2.1 and no I'm not using an SD card I'm using a hard drive in a USB enclosure. I assumed it would put it in the root folder of whatever drive WiiFlow was on.

So then you're loading all homebrew from the external hard drive? Maybe that's the reason it doesn't work as it should.

I prefer to run all homebrew from and SD card, and only have the games on an USB drive. That makes easier to update/modify the homebrew.

no sd card - well there is another way that uses you home wifi and computer. you have to know one of the ip addresses. i think you need your wii ip address and you install a small app on your pc and then enable it wiiflow.ini. and you run the pc app and then goto your wii and run wiiflow and all the gprint's (gecko) are output to your pc. if you're insterested i can find the exact setup instructions to make it work and then i can read your log file and try to determine what is going wrong.

Oh BTW, if you'd like to update your hack, here's another excellent option:

https://gbatemp.net/threads/setmiiup-from-stock-to-latest-softmod-in-less-then-5-10-minutes.459416/

My advice would be to update your setup (homebrews and hack), so you'd start fresh and takes less time than try to find the problem's cause and solve it. I'm about to do it myself this weekend on my backwards compatible Red Wii (love this model!!!).

Of course if you're willing to go through all the process it's OK, I'd do it myself as I like to mess things up and get my hands dirty. But as they say, "If it works, don't try to fix it", which is not your case here (sadly).

Yea you right there, fallout 76 was a letdown, but it not that bad now, they have fixed slot of issues they had at launch. Biggest issue with Fallout 76 is its a pay to advance further type of game, which sucks
