Network connection status bar now shows an improvement after the update, 3 bars full as oppose to two bars prior to the update.

It probably means nothing but at least now it looks the the Switch has a good connection even though I don't have too much problems with the Switch's wireless adapter in general.

If even the 3DS, that has a shitty 240p screen had it, why wouldn't the Switch?

Perhaps they are paranoid on potential entry points.

Yes, I do. I actually used it.

I believe that they will actually release the browser, Netflix and YouTube, they're still trying to fix exploits in those.
I think it's a matter of time and sooner or later we will see these

i updated a second ago and yeah its definitely more than the typical General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience

Think I will defo stay on 2.0 seeing as SciresM stated about the sys vuln, although if new games are forcing updates to play them then I may have to change that

I'm staying on 2.3 for the moment myself, at least until Odyssey comes out.

Is it a trap? Really?
What did you buy your switch for?
  • Enjoy the system and play games as they were conceived? (assured): UPDATE, you will get the latest features, performance and stability improvements, and support.
  • Be able to use homebrew, cheats and/or piracy? (potential, not assured): DO NOT UPDATE EVER UNLESS SPECIFICALLY STATED.

It is absolutely a trap. We want Homebrew! If you don't care about it right now, fall into the trap. I don't have a Switch, so I'm going to be forced into the trap when I get one. :(
That is what I mean. I really want homebrew, but only if it goes with the flow.
If you really bought it for the purpose of homebrew, DO NOT UPDATE EVER UNLESS SPECIFICALLY STATED. It is not a trap, it is only expected.
In the other hand, I don't think we want homebrew at all cost.
As for me, I put it in a way more high position to be able to use the latest firmware and games headacheless, not having to go caring or looking for patched vulnerabilities. Only if it happens that along my way of normal enjoyment of the console homebrew becomes available in the latest firmware, well I may use it, but I care more for the normal use of the console TBH.

guys i updated to 3.0 i'm fucked?
It depends, what do you consider to be fucked?
Did you want to be able to use the patched vulnerability, you are fucked.
Did you want to use homebrew? Up to now, who knows, whenever (if ever) that is available perhaps the patched vulnerability wouldn't even be required.
