@Quantumcat Would you recommend the system to anyone, just based off of first impressions of it?
Looking at it spec wise. It's about the weight of N3DS, but with N3DS XL sized screen. I like the weight of the N3DS, but the XL screen. It probably doesn't help that I have IPS upper on some of my XL. If you don't mind the TN panel and 2D, then it would be good. I'll probably pick one up. Wish we had the white/orange one or the Slime Edition.
Edit: I find the N3DS XL feels heavy after a while.
SciresM said GSPLCD_GetVendors were only available on New 3DS, so in 3DSident they've been hard-coded to only grab the vendors if n3DS check passes, otherwise it defaults to TN | TN.
Can you try this version? https://mega.nz/#!iUpFDZ6Y!NpLInO3Au9Fq3mVuSpYiwugrKVjj2VPMIVyNtYychJY

I have removed the ATP n3DS check in that version, can you try that and report back?

If it fails it'll just display "Unknown | Unknown"
I think Nintendo stopped springing for IPS screens. All my recent ones are TN.

Your new GUI is really pretty by the way!

All of my n3DS's are TN and I barely use the 3D when I play my games so it doesn't really bother me. I do like the black/blue color scheme though.

I think it'll get less dirty or look less dirty if it gets scratched or scuffed up compared to the white one. All my old 3DS have been black ones. Only recently started to get other editions. I don't like the turquoise. I wish they used blue and/or red from the original 2DS.
Edit: The white/orange reminds me of orange creamsicle.

To get it or not get it, that is the question.

First world problem. I might sell one of my N3DS XL and buy a N2DS XL. I don't need it, but it would be more comfortable to hold than N3DS XL for extended plays. The bigger screen would make some games actually visible. Some games look too small on N3DS.

Thanks. Man, did they have to make the sd slot hug the ceiling of the section? I hope that will not cause any trouble.
Yeah it's a bit weird. I didn't have any problems getting it in and out. I think it's better than if it was on the bottom of the cavity, because I can press it in (so it pops out) with my thumb while cupping it in my palm and it's easy to hook out with my index finger on the other hand.

Would either of you mind running the attached homebrew and showing me what the TitleList.txt outputted to the root of your sd card? Preferably for both 11.4 new3DS and 11.4 new2DS Eur. Just trying to find out what titles Ninty stealth updated with the new2ds release. Thanks!

(i know this guinea pig stuff is getting annoying but bear with me here)

What did the APT and PTM checks look at?

It was just checking if it was registered as a new 3DS. Just wanted to make sure, thanks!
Don't worry about the ptmsys bit though, the ATPcheck confirms that it's registered as a N3DS so that we may use N3DS specific functions.
