Go on the friends list.

Say no to sending information to Nintendo in system settings and turn off spotpass then check friends list to be safe.

You should be able to access the home menu on version 11.2, then.
However, I thoroughly recommend updating to B9S. It only takes ten minutes. Follow this guide: https://3ds.guide/updating-to-boot9strap

If you can access the friends list while online, you aren't banned.

Just want to add, that if you're not using Luma cfw you can't check your friends list on 11.2 as it will give an error message telling you to update to use the friends list feature.
I found this out a few days ago when I booted up my o3ds, which was still running a pre-A9LH ReiNand (on 11.2), to see if it was banned... it's now on sighax, and isn't banned
